Vin Robbins is a florist in LA and has done work for very famous people. He learned at his mother’s elbow at the flower shop she and his dad owned. When his mom died his father gave up now the greenhouse and the shop lay in ruin. Vin took time off to return home and help his father who is in the process of selling the shop and greenhouse but first Vin has to clean up so that it is appealing to prospective buyers.

Vin left for LA when his high school friend and crush refused to ever admit to being gay and who married and had a child. It was time to leave Pennsylvania and begin a new life. Then something suspicious happens at the greenhouse and when the police arrive his first love, Casey Lombard shows up. Someone is using the greenhouse to grow weed and when Casey sees the condition everything is in, he offers to help with the clean-up. Casey brings his six-year-old daughter Brianna to help and Casey finally admits that he always had feelings for Vin and he isn’t hiding who he is any more.

Can Vin and Casey have a second chance at love and will Vin give up his LA life and return when his vacation time is over. Casey’s wife walked out on him and their daughter and now the once sweet woman is now the devil incarnate. She wants to take Brianna back to Costa Rico with her something Casey will never allow. He has full custody since she never showed up for any court hearings. Vin tries to help Casey with the drug problem and the use of premises that are empty.

There is no doubt in Vin’s mind that being with Casey and Brianna would give him the family he always longed for but he also longed for a flower shop that was his and that is the chance he has in LA. His parent’s flower shop would always feel like it belonged to his mom and dad. Vin doesn’t have much time before he returns to LA but is it enough time for his heart and head to realize what he really wants.

This story really resonated with me because if Mr. Grey called Casey, Alan it would be my brother’s sad story. Young children a woman he never saw was cruel and unfortunately my brother is in his late 70’s but Casey’ story is his story.
