This book was wonderful and a book that once started you can’t put down, I know I couldn’t. Hannah Lynch works as a tech assistant for the Guardian Agency and is preparing for her Christmas vacation when she discovers that her sister Sonja won’t be coming. Since college Sonja, Hannah and Harper Ellington have been like sisters with Harper’s family adopting the two of them into the family. Every Christmas they spend together at the Ellington’s resort so if Sonja is not coming then something is wrong and she is probably in trouble, trouble that Hannah has every intention of discovering and solving.

When she approaches her boss at the agency, he agrees that something is going on and is sure that Sonja is running to protect herself and putting a bullseye on Harper who can easily be used as leverage. Sonja works for a brokerage firm and has evidence against her boss Mr. Tenney, evidence he will do anything from seeing the light of day and that means finding Sonja and putting an end to his problem. In order to assure that Hannah is safe her boss assigns former SEAL, Seth Mathison to go undercover with her as her fiancé although Hannah is not happy with having to lie to her family, she realizes that is the best way to present Seth with no one being the wiser.

The family is surprised by her engagement but welcome Seth to the family and that puts the two of them together in one room which is not easy for Hannah since she has been attracted to Seth from the moment, she first met him. Hannah’s suspicions prove right Sonja is in danger and so is Harper and before long the danger comes right to their door and puts Hannah in the line of fire. Seth will do anything he can to protect the woman he is beginning to think of as more than his undercover fiancé.

Solving the mystery of Sonja’s whereabouts, protecting Hannah and Harper and putting an end to the danger made this book exciting from the start but watching as Hannah and Seth try to come to terms with the relationship they both want and the relationship both are convinced is unattainable was wonderful as well. This book had it all, romance, suspense and amazing characters.
