Doc thought treating grumpy house cats was challenging — until her latest patients torched everything she thought she knew.

When Dr. Jordyn Blackstone stumbles upon an injured dragon, she can’t resist helping the creature. Before long, dragons from far and wide seek her expertise, and they’re not exactly the kind to sit still for shots.

With dragons suddenly very real and no dragon-care textbook in sight, Doc can’t help but question her sanity while she develops dragon medicine on the fly. Amidst dodging horrid dragon breath and fiery sneezes, Doc discovers that the dragons trust her with not only their own lives, but the survival of their entire species. No pressure.

Doc rises to the challenge, even though the work is tough, messy, and dangerous. But dealing with disgusting dragon snot is the least of her worries. To protect her extraordinary patients from being hunted to extinction, Doc must keep them secret — or risk not only their safety, but also her career, reputation, and clinic going up in smoke.

Dragon enthusiasts and fans of House in the Cerulean Sea, Legends and Lattes, and The Lady Trent Memoirs will be enchanted by The Dragon Doc Tales!

Dr. Jordyn Blackstone, a veterinarian, was on an excursion with her husband Jon. While climbing a mountain, Jordyn became dizzy and nauseous, so she went to the side to relieve herself. As she looked at her surroundings, she saw a dragon. The dragon was hurt so she did what she could all the while believing what she saw was a hallucination brought on by her high-altitude cerebral edema.
When she was treated at the hospital for her severe headache and other symptoms, she convinced herself that she did not see a dragon, a creature that only existed in fairy tales.
Unfortunately, the reality of what she had seen revealed itself at the clinic she worked at, the dragon still injured and needing more help than she had previously given it.
Finally, she revealed to her husband Jon what she had seen, only he laughed and was sure she was just joking with him. The injured dragon showed up one more time with its wing healed and another dragon in need of help. This was the beginning of Jordyn’s story with dragons.
Dragons frequently approached Jordyn for assistance, with some even capable of speech. She successfully aided them, addressing their varying issues, and progressively learned the skills required to become a doctor for dragons. No matter how many times she tried to convince Jon that the dragons were real he refused to believe.
For years Jordyn took care of dragons, seeing so many and realizing how different they were from each other. They were able to understand her when she gave them medicine and told them how to use it. She named each one so if she saw them again, she would remember who they were.
Years later, Joryn and Jon decided to move from Arizona to Idaho to establish their own veterinary clinic. She regretted leaving the dragons but also experienced a sense of relief. Treating them at night required both financial and sleep sacrifices. However, an unexpected event occurred when a dragon found her.
Her treatment of dragons resumed only this time Jon was a reluctant witness to the existence of dragons. Not happy about it but after a time accepting.
Now the appearance once again of dragons brought on a whole new set of problems. A security system that kept going off every time a dragon would appear and trying to run the clinic with their constant appearance.
