Anne Barwell lives in Wellington, New Zealand. She shares her home with Kaylee: a cat with “tortitude” who is convinced that the house is run to suit her. To date it appears Kaylee may be winning the discussion. She is an avid reader across a wide range of genres and a watcher of far too many TV series and movies, although it can be argued that there is no such thing as “too many.” Anne’s books have received honourable mentions five times, reached the finals four times—one of which was for best gay book—and been a runner up in the Rainbow Awards.
Melissa Bell lives in Brisbane, Australia. She has loved to read since the age of twelve when she discovered ‘To Kill A Mocking Bird’, previous to reading this book she hated reading. With a couple of handfuls of years and thousands of books later she wanted to try writing.
She has most recently accomplished making the USA Today Best Sellers List in October 2021. And has now set her sights on reaching the NY Times Best Sellers List.
She enjoys good food and good company when she’s not trying to concentrate on what she’s writing. She loves to laugh as laughter makes the world go round not money. Unfortunately laughter doesn’t pay the bills unless you’re a really well-known stand-up comedian. Which she is not. She is hoping that this is the start of an exciting adventure as a published Author, and that maybe something amazing will come of it. She would like to invite you all to join her on her journey.

The tall trees and murky forests of the Pac NW feed my imagination. Kerrie love vampires, werewolves, and all things paranormal. While I studied criminal justice I became inspired to write suspense romance. That didn't last long though, I found my footing in paranormal romance, and urban fantasy when I attended a writing workshop with one of my favorite authors. As a roomful of aspiring authors, she told us that if we were stalling in our current genre, to look to our bookshelves and write the most prevalent genre. Can you guess what was on my bookshelf? That's right, nothing but paranormal, urban fantasy romance. I love to read books with a strong plots, and unique characters. I desire to bring those qualities to my readers with a heavy "side dish" of lust.
After living most of her life in haunted houses, Aedyn Brooks decided to share some of her terrifying, and sometimes funny, stories writing wicked paranormal romances.
She loves suburbia living with a postage-stamp sized yard in the Pacific Northwest, with whatever ghosts happen by. When not writing, you’ll find her casting runes, reading tarot, and honing her skills as a psychic medium. She enjoys spending time with family and babysitting her granddaughters. Being a grandmother is the bestest thing ever!</p?
You can also follow Aedyn on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest (another slight addiction) @aedynbrooks. She shares her personal ghost encounters through her newsletter. Please visit her website to join.

JC Brown lives in a world where magic is real and anything is possible, or at least she likes to pretend so. She has always held a fascination for the darker side of the paranormal, like evil witches, zombies, werewolves, vampires and the fae. When her adult ADD allows, she’s able to focus and carefully craft the intricate web of imagination onto paper.
JC is an avid reader and lover of education that’s led her through many careers. From barista to graphic design, certified nursing assistant to school bus driver but weaving paranormal tales is what she enjoys the most.
As an American Cuban, family and culture are especially important to her. While writing is her absolute passion, her full-time job is Mistress of Minions to her four needy goblins. They definitely keep her on her toes. However, her hysterical husband makes everything easier with his wild, and sometimes inappropriate humor. She shares her Rhode Island home with her husband, children, and parents.

Sharon Buchbinder got into a lot of trouble for when she was a child for "making things up." Now, she gets rewarded for making things up. Sharon loves to create heroes and heroines people can relate to—even crazy cat ladies, as she did with Catastrophe, her first publication with The Wild Rose Press (WRP). She's been submitting fiction since she was in middle school and has the rejection slips to prove it. In high school, she even submitted a script to The Man from U.N.C.L.E. written in pencil on yellow-lined paper. Sadly, it was rejected. After working in health care delivery for years, she became a researcher, then a professor and department chair. But that itch to write the stories that raced around in her mind kept beckoning her to "come on back" to writing fiction. Since romance has over a dozen sub-genres, she was able to turn her fascination with horror and mystery into paranormal romance and romantic suspense. When not writing she can be found reading, fishing, working out, golfing or enjoying a good meal and laughter with friends and family.
***Sign up for Sharon's newsletter by completing the information on her CONTACT page and saying: "YES! I am entering to win one of your FABULOUS e-books and please put me on your newsletter list, too. Oh, and I promise never to upload your books to a PIRATE site because I know you work hard to earn your author royalties. Hugs and kisses, Your Fan." Or something along those lines.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, writing has always been a passion for Jessica Cage. She dabbles in artistic creations of all sorts but at the end of the day, it's the pen that her hand itches to hold.
Jessica had never considered following her dream to be a writer because she was told far too often, "There is no money in writing." So she chose the path most often traveled. Working at her day job in a law office, she looked at her two year old son and asked herself, how would she be able to inspire him to follow his dreams, reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself?
Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be.
Recently Jessica discovered a new passion in encouraging youth to follow their dreams and explore creative passions. It is no secret that programs are dwindling that help to support the development of artistic passion. It is her hope to be able to create an avenue to help fill this void. It is the realization that Jessica's journey is not all about herself, but about others as well, that helps to not only fuel her writing but to keep her moving forward.

My stories are perfect for fans of feel-good, sweet romance stories, lovable magical characters, and enchanting small towns.
All of my characters deal with day-to-day problems, just like everyone else. Usually in an ordinary way. Often with the help of their special gifts.
And you’ll always find a magical and usually snarky feline in each story.
My new series, Baga Shores Romance, launched in July 2022. Set in a fictional coastal town on the west coast of Florida, BEWITCHING ANDIE is the first book in the Baga Shores Romance Series. Newly divorced, Andie returns home for help raising her 7-year-old wizard. But everyone seems to have a different idea on what "help" looks like!
In my Nocturne Falls Universe series, you meet a modern family of falcon shapeshifters who are fabulously wealthy! An interesting combination, right?
The Cat’s Paw Cove Romance series introduced a family who traces their ancestry to the 1700’s Salem Village witch hunt. Did I mention my main character is a psychic who can bring the dead forward? She thought she'd retired from that business until someone knocks on her door with a very strange letter.
And don’t forget the ornery magical cats! Each series introduces a new full-of-themself feline who insists on stealing every scene.
I invite you to subscribe to my newsletter on CandaceColt.com When you sign up, you get a freebie short story, “Superstition’s Sway," a prequel to my first Cat’s Paw Cove Romance series.

Karenna Colcroft lives just north of Boston, Massachusetts, and has been in love with the city since childhood, though she has yet to encounter any werewolves, vampires, or other paranormal beings in her travels. At least none that she knows of. Though since in her non-writing life, under another name, she offers services as a channel and energy healing practitioner, it could be said that she herself is a paranormal being. The jury’s still out on that.
Karenna is a polyamorous, nonbinary human who splits time between the home she shares with her husband and the one she shares with her committed partner. She also has two adult children and a bonus son, three grandchildren, and two and a half cats. (Half in terms of time the cat lives with her, not in terms of the cat itself…)

Patricia Esposito lives by the notion Luis Alberto Urrea once expressed: When the world is so dark and bloody, be brave enough to broadcast innocent joy. Dare to be naive. She has written edgy paranormal fiction for most of her life, but always finds beneath it a romantic heart. Her most recent fiction and poetry reflect that enduring quest for love and joy beneath the human struggle.
Patricia has received honorable mentions in Ellen Datlow's Year's Best Fantasy and Horror collections, is a two-time winner of Rhino’s Reader=Writer award, and is a Pushcart Prize nominee. With a Master’s degree in English, she edits law books and textbooks for income, while trying to keep up with a retired husband and enjoying time with her two adult daughters—that is, when she’s not off exploring the intoxicating realms of the imagination and chasing muses. Beside the Darker Shore is her first full-length work of fiction. She welcomes the chance to meet other writers and readers through her website or Facebook page.
Jamie Fessenden set out to be a writer in junior high school. He published a couple short pieces in his high school's literary magazine and had another story place in the top 100 in a national contest, but it wasn't until he met his partner, Erich, almost twenty years later, that he began writing again in earnest. With Erich alternately inspiring and goading him, Jamie wrote several screenplays and directed a few of them as micro-budget independent films. He then began writing novels and published his first novella in 2010.
After nine years together, Jamie and Erich have married and purchased a house together in the wilds of Raymond, New Hampshire, where there are no street lights, turkeys and deer wander through their yard, and coyotes serenade them on a nightly basis. Jamie recently left his day job as a tech support analyst to be a full-time writer.
Kim Fielding is the bestselling author of numerous m/m romance novels, novellas, and short stories. Like Kim herself, her work is eclectic, spanning genres such as contemporary, fantasy, paranormal, and historical. Her stories are set in alternate worlds, in 15th century Bosnia, in modern-day Oregon. Her heroes are hipster architect werewolves, housekeepers, maimed giants, and conflicted graduate students. They're usually flawed, they often encounter terrible obstacles, but they always find love.
After having migrated back and forth across the western two-thirds of the United States, Kim calls the boring part of California home. She lives there with her husband, her two daughters, and her day job as a university professor, but escapes as often as possible via car, train, plane, or boat. This may explain why her characters often seem to be in transit as well. She dreams of traveling and writing full-time.

A nerdy, chaotic-good, gamer geek by trade, DJ calls the Northwest corner of the United States home. She lives with her spouse, teenage minions, and two adorable Yorkies.
When she’s not banging her head against the keyboard or trying to stay focused on her next book, DJ spends her time sewing & crafting with friends, picking out new hair colors, taking long baths, reading, or her personal favorite – gaming (tabletop, rpg’s, tcg’s, & video games – she’s not really picky).
DJ’s stories have been described as medium angst with a heavy dose of fluff. They are full of action, romance, and snark while including a diverse cast of queer, fantastical characters that excel at doing mundane things in new and unique ways. While she believes the plot is paramount and the world must always be saved, you can always count on a happily ever after in any DJ Gainer story.

Beck is a non-binary writer of sweet, sexy, LGBTQ happily ever afters. Why? Because everyone deserves all the happy! They live in the Northeastern United States with their two adorable dogs.
Weekdays are spent working their day job, but nights and weekends are devoted to writing stories involving hot characters, favorite tropes, and happy endings. Any additional time includes reading, laughing with friends, drinking red wine, and playing D&D. If there’s cake involved at any point it’s a win!
Susan writes paranormal and contemporary romance—steamy and sexy are the way they usually turn out. She's a huge fan of superheroes and bad boys confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers, and abilities beyond the norm mixed with hot, blow-your-socks-off romance.
She grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania doing a lot of daydreaming. It’s no big surprise that she writes romance stories since many nights as a child; she would lay awake fantasizing about her knight in shining armor.
Her wild imagination sparked her first story at the age of twelve, a story that her sixth-grade teacher adopted for the class play that year. Having never achieved fame and fortune for that play, she attempted life the normal way with other activities, such as working as a food lab technician, bartender, cell phone repair technician, and mom.
Now she lives in Northern California with a gorgeous view of Folsom Lake from her office where she still spends a lot of time daydreaming. She loves to drink wine and fortunately, there are several local wineries close by. Together, she and her modern-day knight have five great superhero kids and nine mini-superhero grandkids, seven grand pups, and a too-intelligent border collie named Xena Warrior Princess who has stolen her heart and keeps her very active.
When she's not writing, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, drinking wine, dancing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and throwing a green ball for that very smart border collie.
The supernatural always had the allure of forbidden fruit ever since my mother refused to allow me, as a boy, to watch creature features on late-night TV. She caved-in. (Well, not literally.)
As a child, fresh snow provided the opportunity to walk out onto neighbors' lawns halfway and make paw prints with my fingers as far as I could stretch. I would retrace the paw and boot prints, then fetch the neighbor kids and point out that someone turned into a werewolf on this lawn! (They were skeptical.)
I have pursued many interests over the years, but the supernatural always called to me. You could say I was haunted. Finally, following the siren's call, I began writing Eidola Project Series, about 19th century ghost hunters who become ensnared in deadly investigations of the supernatural. There are three novels so far in the series: The Eidola Project, Moonlight Becomes You, and Totem of Terror. Each of them have won awards, and the entire Eidola Project Series just won first place in the Paranormal Romance Guild's Reviewer's Choice Awards.
I also write stories for the Friday the 13th collection of weird and frightening tales. Witch Ever Way You Go was his first. It is set in 2015 Seattle and is about a murderous coven of modern witches. The Devil Sheds a Tear is a sequel but can be read on its own. These stories are available from Amazon & Kindle Unlimited.
Ultimately, I hope my work gives you the creeps—and I mean that in the best way possible!

Amy Lane has two kids in college, two gradeschoolers in soccer, two cats, and two Chi-who-whats at large. She lives in a crumbling crapmansion with most of the children and a bemused spouse. Minnesota-based author, Joie Lesin is a life-long fiction writer and the author of The Passenger. She has long been fascinated by anything otherworldly including ghosts. She loves to write a good ghost story—especially when it includes a touch of romance.
Originally from Massachusetts, at six years old, Joie moved to her mother’s birthplace, Minnesota. By eight, Joie lost her New England accent, however, it's gradually returning as the years go by. She grew up in Minneapolis but now resides in St. Paul with her husband and their blended family—which includes a rambunctious grand-corgi.
Joie misses the ocean, but she often finds herself walking by one of Minnesota’s many lakes and travels to one of the coasts as often as she can. In fact, she considers California her home away from home. When she’s not writing, reading, or walking, you can find her listening to music. She absolutely loves music—especially live—and songs have sparked most of her story ideas.

A few years ago, Dee S. Knight began writing, making getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, fell in love, became drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they had sex, lots of sex.
After a while, Dee split her personality into thirds. She writes as Anne Krist for sweeter romances, and Jenna Stewart for ménage and shifter stories. All three of her personas are found on the Nomad Authors website (www.nomadauthors.com). Fortunately, Dee’s high school sweetheart is the love of her life and husband to all three ladies! Once a month, look for Dee’s Charity Sunday blog posts, where your comment can support a selected charity.

Award winning author, EG Manetti has always enjoyed a vivid imagination and occasional scribbling. In 2010 she was struck by the inspiration for The Twelve Systems Chronicles. The draft of a single novel soon became three, and then more. In 2012, after several hundred thousand words, The Cartel: The Apprentice, Volume 1 was published, followed by nine other volumes. The tenth and final volume of The Twelve Systems Chronicles, Thorn Bearer, released September 21, 2021. To date, the three volumes and the series have received Reviewers Choice awards from the Paranormal Romance Guild, and volumes three and five, and seven, and nine were finalists for the prestigious InD’tale RONE Award (Reward for Novel Excellence), and Shield Bearer (Volume 9) received the 2021 RONE for Science Fiction.
A former information technology project manager, EG writes as often as possible, cooks exceptionally, and gardens adequately. She resides in Florida with her beloved (and often confounded) husband and their severely OCD Jack Russell Terrier.

Mischief, Magic, and Murder . . . That's a Maslow!
If you're looking for comedy, fantasy, or dead bodies in your romances (sometimes all three at once!), I'm your gal. I'm also a. . . gasp!. . . extroverted writer. It seems counterintuitive that as someone who is energized by people, I spend most of my time alone. Yet, that's the case. And I don't mind.
Mostly.
If I get writer's block or start to go a little stir crazy, I head out to a coffee shop, a restaurant, a friend's place--anywhere to fill up my need for human contact. It also helps that I spend a lot of time with the voices in my head. Some of them are really quite opinionated.
I love writing gay romance because I'm a sap for a happy ending, and I believe everyone—regardless of orientation—should be able to find books that have them. And if that romance comes with a dash of mischief, magic, or murder, all the better.
I believe that life is for living, kindness is contagious, and a good book makes the world a better place.

Greetings, Dear Readers! I have written several books and I can write about law enforcement because I worked as a South Carolina State Constable, taught at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, and worked briefly in a Cold Case Squad. Fascinating!
I have been a licensed counselor for almost 20 years; I have spoken at numerous international conferences on psychopaths and narcissists, and written books related to counseling. The material for this series, The Mysterious Secret Guardians, was pulled from my hard-earned knowledge and experience. I enjoy research, a skill I leaned on heavily in crafting my books. The history is accurate, the locations and science described are accurate. Before embarking on this project, I read every book I could find on Winston Churchill, as well as many of the 72 books he wrote. I am a lover of mystery and paranormal stories and this was my chance to write both and what fun it was! I can't stop writing the series because my characters would die! So, more to come!
BTW, Sophie, the ghost Great Dane, helps me with the big words.
I love gardening, hiking, the beach, and stimulating conversation! I would love to hear from you please reach out to me or Sophie. We answer! Hugs, Bones

J.E. McDonald was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, The Land of the Living Skies. As a child, she was either searching the clouds for identifiable shapes, or star-gazing way past her bedtime. All of these factors contribute to her love of writing rom coms with a paranormal twist, romantic suspense, and far-future romance.
J.E. resides in Saskatchewan with her husband and three daughters, a stay at home mom by day, and an obsessed writer by night.

I’m a mystic, writer, healer, lover, cancer survivor, father, friend. I write (mostly) gay fiction featuring all those paths and more.
Having led what can only be described as a checkered life, I can honestly say I’m grateful for all of it. I’ve been a minister, an office worker, a janitor, a drinker, and a software developer on my way to finishing my first novel in 2004.
But basically I’m just a psychic empath, a little weather-beaten and still learning how to live in the world just the way it is. The thing is, I experience the world as so much more than is generally accepted. That’s the challenge. Writing stories is the best way I’ve found to examine and share the questions, the wonders I engage daily.
My husband and I have been together since 2002, married since 2007. Between us we have four children and five grandchildren. We're based in south Florida, and work hard to keep up with the astonishing life we've created for ourselves.
R.L. Merrill brings you quirky and relatable characters and romance full of Hope, Love, and Rock 'n' Roll. Whether she’s writing about contemporary issues that affect us all or diving deep into the paranormal and supernatural to give readers a shiver, she loves creating compelling stories that will stay with readers long after. You can find her lurking on social media, where she loves connecting with readers, educating America’s youth, raising two brilliant teenagers, trying desperately to get that back piece finished in the tattoo chair, or headbanging at a rock show near her home in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I love to read almost as much as I love to write. My favorite stories are the ones that transport me... that bring me to places and people that leave me breathless, sparking the fire of my imagination, allowing me to dream in the world of 'what if?'
I've always been a scribbler. From the time I could write, I've been making up stories. So, a few years ago I decided that I needed to do what I love the most. Write. I'm proud to say that while most editors respond to submissions with a blanket form letter, enough responded to my work personally, giving me hope I truly did have talent. I guess they were right, because my debut novella, Hunter's Blood, has been received with wonderful reviews. In the meantime I'm still writing... and when I'm not 'bichok' (butt in a chair hands on keyboard), I'm spending time with my husband and our three kids, traveling to exciting, romantic places (for inspiration, of course) or training for my 2nd degree black belt in traditional Japanese karate.

Mystery, action, chills, and thrills spiced with romance and desire. ELIZABETH NOBLE lives by the adage "I can't not write." She doesn't remember a time when she didn’t make up stories and eventually she learned how to put words on a page. Those words turned into books and fan fiction that turned into a genuine love of M/M fiction. A part of every day is spent living in worlds she created that are filled with intrigue and espionage. She has a real love for a good mystery complete with murder and twisty plots as well as all things sci-fi, futuristic, and supernatural.
I am a Southern girl born and raised in Florence, Alabama. I've loved paranormal romance ever since I saw Dark Shadows as a kid. I think I'm particularly geared for the paranormal since I grew up in a haunted house and had family members who grew up around ghosts or had paranormal experiences throughout their lives.
And so, have I. I don't think there's one thing wrong with romances between ghosts, vampires, werewolves, you name your supernatural entity of choice, and humans. Afterall, some of these entities were human at one time except for demons, Chthonic monsters, or aliens. It gets kinky in spots.
I've written a fanfiction novel concerning Dark Shadows that I've posted on Archive of Our Own under Ocsana Nox. People like it and if you are a fan of Dark Shadows, check it out if you're so inclined. When my commercial paranormal novel is done, I hope to get it out to all the readers who like the romance with a vampire coupled with the menace of a villain trope.

Linda Palmer has always had a vivid imagination and loved creating elaborate scenarios when playing with her sisters and friends as a child. She began writing for pleasure in the third grade, mostly poetry, and has letters from her grade school teachers predicting she'd be an author. Her poems eventually became short stories; her short stories became books. And even though a writing career was never actually a dream, it was something she pursued with intent after joining a writer's group. Silhouette Books published Linda's first novel in 1989 and the next twenty over a ten-year period (writing as Linda Varner). In 1999 she took a break to take care of her family, but learned that she couldn't not write and began again, changing her genre to young adult/new adult paranormal romance. She has now written over forty full-length novels as well as numerous novellas and short stories. There are always more in the works.
Linda was a Romance Writers of America finalist twice and won the 2011 and 2012 EPIC eBook awards in the Young Adult category. She was a finalist in that category in 2013, and is a finalist in the 2014 contest. She married her junior high school sweetheart many years ago and lives in Arkansas, USA with her family.

I began my writing career in the pre-dawn of a winter morning while my husband snored like a train. We could call my husband the catalyst. If it weren’t for him, I would never have gone to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee, feed the cat, and sit on the loveseat in front of the fire. It was there, in those moments of wondrous quiet, that I did something I had never thought possible. I opened my laptop, and while the coffee went cold, I wrote a story. My husband had no idea that these sojourns to the loveseat in front of the fire would become a daily occurrence, that writing would become an obsession, but the cat knew. She knows everything.
I write stories that make you laugh, make you cry, and make you love. Thank you, friends, for reading!
In the beginning, there was an empty page.
I am a writer who lives in Muskoka, Canada, with a husband who snores, a hungry cat, and an almost perfect canine––he’s an adorable little shit.

Jack blames her dark writing influences on living close to one of England’s finest forests. A few years ago, I wrote my first book, Dire Warning. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicle the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings. Since then, the pack has expanded, allowing more stories to be told and different paranormals to be included. The series has become, as one reader described it…an “Epic Saga.”
I live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I read a lot (good for the mind) and love gardening (good for the soul). And I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, my private Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, or my website.

Jan Sikes is an award-winning Texas author who has been called a wordsmith by her peers. She openly admits that she never set out in life to be an author. But she had a story to tell. Not just any story, but a true story that rivals any fiction creation.
You simply can’t make this stuff up. It all happened. She chose to create fictitious characters to tell the story through, and they bring the intricately woven tale to life in an entertaining way. She released a series of music CDs to accompany the four biographical fiction books and then published a book of poetry and art to complete the story circle.
And now that the story is told, this author can’t find a way to put down the pen. She continues to write fiction and has published numerous award-winning short stories with a series of paranormal romance novels waiting in the wings. She is a member of the RAVE REVIEWS BOOK CLUB (RRBC), serves as Vice-President of the RAVE WRITER’S INT’L SOCIETY OF AUTHOR (RWISA), sits on the RWISA Executive Council and is an active member of Author’s Marketing, Org, Writer’s League of Texas, and the Romance Writers of America.

A master's degree in English and a doctorate in administration led me to education. After retiring from my career as a teacher and principal, I settled in to write something more creative than lesson plans on split infinitives and inner-school memos on noise in the hallway.
My first novel was the romantic mystery comedy romp AFFECTION FOR CRIME. I am now living with vampires, demons, ylves, mages, and other magical beings who keep me awake at night with their tales of love and adventure. Taking great interest in their lives, I began a paranormal romance series with alpha males who aren't always nice and females who have no problem keeping them in line. THE FIREBRAND is the first book in the Blood Coven Series. Get on my mailing list to find dates and times for upcoming books in the series at http://eepurl.com/h8rQVL.
Here are more orts, scraps, and fragments from my life. (Thank you, Virginia Wolf and Shakespeare.) I moved from sunny Las Vegas to the less-than-sunny Pacific Northwest. Here I have adventures with my daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters who also moved to the area. I also enjoy my membership at Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN), a local organization that supports the arts and offers classes and events in eleven different studios. It was at BARN where my critique group began. With equal time given to in-depth comments on each other's works, snarky remarks, and laughter, we have now been together over five years.
Meredith(they/them/theirs) likes to write about spooky stuff and kissing. And sometimes spooky stuff kissing. Originally from Texas, they live elsewhere now with their family and two cats who think they are gods (in fact, they're pretty sure of it). Meredith writes queer-centered romances in various subgenres including paranormal, speculative fiction/alternate universe, contemporary, and historical. They firmly believe in happily ever afters and that there is no reason anyone should wear socks with open toe shoes.

Sterling is known for fast-paced romantic thrillers and touching gay romcoms. There might be goosebumps and some gore but there’s always true love and lots of laughter. <

Colorado is her home; shared with her husband of many moons, a brilliant Chow Chow, a spoiled parrot and a forty-year-old box turtle. Any evening, you can find her curled up in front of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate and a big bowl of popcorn. Mary Patterson Thornburg's dream was always to write fantasy stories and novels, but what with one thing and another she didn't get started until she and her husband moved west in 1998. When she'd finished her first story and it was published, she took off running and never looked back. She is currently in Montana, writing as fast as she can.
Toni V. Sweeney was born in the time space between the War Between the States and the Gulf War. She has lived 30 years in the South, a score in the Middle West, and a decade on the Pacific Coast and now she's trying for her second 30 on the Great Plains. An accomplished artist as well as writer, she has a degree in Fine Art and a diploma in Graphic Art and also produces videos. Since the publication of her first novel in 1989, Toni divides her time between writing SF/Fantasy under her own name and romances often set in the South under her pseudonym Icy Snow Blackstone. Toni also reviews books for TwoLips Reviews and recently was asked to join the review staff of the New York Journal of Books. She has been associated with the South Coast Writer's Association, the Pink Fuzzy Slipper Writers, several dozen writers' loops, myspace, Facebook, and YouTube. Her 34th novel was recently published.
Mary (aka Miki) Patterson Thornburg was born in California, grew up in Washington State, moved to Montana when she was eighteen, and spent many years in Indiana, where she studied and then taught at Ball State University. Her dream was always to write fiction, but she didn't get started until she and her husband moved back to Montana. Since then, she's had stories in Cicada, Zahir, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, and Strange, Weird, and Wonderful, among other places. Two of her short stories earned honorable mention in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror (2006, 2008). "Niam's Tale," in the July/August 2010 Cicada, won the coveted SCBWI 2011 Magazine Merit Honor Certificate. Her first novel, A Glimmer of Guile, was published by Uncial Press in 2014. Her second book for Uncial, The Kura, came out in 2015. She’s had several “Novel Bytes” (novella-length stories) published by Uncial and has self-published several others, along with a few short stories. A collection of fourteen tales, In the Skull Palace and Other Stories, was published in 2021, and a short novel, Luke Blackmon’s Rose, is due to be released by Uncial Press in March 2023.
What kind of fiction does Thornburg write? Well, she’s searched for a way to identify it. Almost always, her stories are a few steps away from the real world. Or sometimes a few miles, or a few parsecs. But only a couple of times has she slid into classic fantasy, and then she quickly slid out again. Her friend the writer D. L. Russell has this to say about her fiction: “Thornburg writes within that zone of interest between excellent speculative fiction and world building, rich in Humanity…” (a testimonial she often rereads to cheer herself up). She used to call her work science-fantasy, but nobody seemed to know what that meant. So now she describes it in the words of her point-of-view character in Luke Blackmon’s Rose: “This is the kind of weird stuff I write about. Not science fiction – I can’t do that, or at least I can’t do it with real science, just with made-up science. Okay, fake science. It’s a kind of tool, I guess. A metaphor. But fantasy, of a sort. I love it and it fascinates me.”
She guesses she’s invented a new genre: Fake science fiction. Almost always with a bit, or more than a bit, of real romance.

Enthralled with legends of medieval knights and ladies, dark fairy tales and fantasies about Druids, wizards and magic, Jennifer Ivy Walker always dreamed of becoming a writer. She fell in love with French in junior high school, continuing her study of the language throughout college, eventually becoming a high school teacher and college professor of French.
As a high school teacher, she took her students every year to the annual French competition, where they performed a play she had written, "Yseult la Belle et Tristan la Bête"--an imaginative blend of the medieval French legend of "Tristan et Yseult" and the fairy tale "Beauty and the Beast", enhanced with fantasy elements of a Celtic fairy and a wicked witch.
Her debut novel, "The Wild Rose and the Sea Raven"--the first of a trilogy-- is a blend of her love for medieval legends, the romantic French language, and paranormal fantasy. It is a retelling of the medieval French romance of "Tristan et Yseult", interwoven with Arthurian myth, dark fairy tales from the enchanted Forest of Brocéliande, and otherworldly elements such as Avalonian Elves, Druids, forest fairies and magic.
Explore her realm of Medieval French Fantasy. She hopes her novels will enchant you.

Eric is an American Midwesterner, and as Lady Glenhaven might say, “He’s old enough to have sailed with Noah.” In the real world he writes for a living, with some who would claim what he writes is fiction. His partner of thirty years—who died unexpectedly in 1995—encouraged him to try to get published, but it took him until 2013 to get started. Since then: 11 novels and novellas, 1 poetry collection, 2 short story collections, and 3 short stories.
“God willin’ and the crick don’t rise,” 2019 will bring two fairy tales novels/novellas (Eric never has the slightest idea how long anything will be until it’s done). First, The Tinderbox, starring our heroes Charlie, and Prince Caspian the Charming, plus a wicked witch, three magical dogs, and of course a tinderbox. Second, 3 Boars & A Wolf Walk Into A Bar (you know the source for this one). Hopefully 2020 will include The Truth About Them Damn Goats (as told by the troll), and either The Serpent Mark (Another England, 1816) or Strathairn’s Warrior (Another England 2016).
Real life, though, is a pain in the (anatomical site of your choice)...so no guarantees.
Rochelle Wilcox was born and raised in Las Vegas, where she learned at an early age the value of fantasy and escape. Raised by a single mom -- one of the first women trained to deal poker in the early 70's -- Rochelle spent more time in casinos than most adults. She and her husband decided to leave the desert behind and raise their sons in Northern California, where they spend as much time on the water as they can.
Despite her lifelong passion for story-telling, Rochelle's path took her to law school and then to a practice focused on media law and appeals. But her love of writing wasn't sated with briefs bound by legal principles and a fealty to facts. And so she started to tell the story that had been playing in her mind for years, based on the Norse mythology she loved as a child and built around her favorite character -- the Norse God of Love, Freyr.
In Lost Long (Book I of the Freyr Chronicles), Freyr finds Lia, the woman who brings him to life after centuries of walking earth alone. Desperate to save Lia's life from members of his family determined to take it, Freyr and Lia travel across the earth, to the realm of giants deep below, and then to the mythical land of Asgard to convince Freyr's family to abandon the vengeance that drives them. In Book II of the Series, Wandering (coming September 1st), they will look for refuge in the most dangerous part of Africa, while Freyr and Lia learn more about each other and explore a love that Freyr's family would crush if they could. Book III, Alive Again, will take them to Iceland as they work to end the conflict in their family before Ragnarok descends upon them in Book IV. Along the way, Freyr will learn of Lia’s importance not just to him, but to all of humanity.

Jenn Windrow loves characters who have a pinch of spunk, a dash of attitude, and a large dollop of sex appeal. Top it all off with a huge heaping helping of snark, and you’ve got the ingredients for the kind of fast paced stories she loves to read and write. Home is a suburb of it’s-so-hot-my-shoes-have-melted-to-the-pavement Phoenix. Where she lives with her husband, two daughters, and a slew of animals that seem to keep following her home, at least that’s what she claims.
For more information about me and my books, please see my website here:
I've been an avid reader for years. To my husband's dismay, I have bookshelves full of books, rooms full of books, boxes full of books. My cars have books in them. I just can't seem to get rid of them after I read them. You just never know when you will want to read it again, right?
About two years ago, my husband gave me the dream gift, a Kindle. It was love at first sight and my first foray into the world of ebooks. To say the least, I am a technologically challenged person but when a reader, such as I, is told that you can have the book you want to read in seconds, I'm going to do whatever it takes to learn how to use it as quickly as possible.
While I still have books everywhere, I no longer take ten or twelve books with me when I go on vacation. The only thing I need is my Kindle. It never leaves my purse.
My genre of choice is romance with a paranormal twist. My authors of choice are Diana Palmer, Iris Johansen, Catherine Coulter, Jill Gregory and of course, the queen, Nora Roberts. I am also very partial to Michael Connelly, who is not a romance author but damn that man can write!
In my life prior to becoming an author, I was a Legal Assistant/Office Manager for a wonderful local estate planning attorney (no criminals that I know of). Prior to that, I also worked my way up the ladder in a large corporation, from payroll clerk to supervising nine employees in operational accounting.
When my children, Shandelle and Pilar, were small, I took a few years off to be a full-time mom and help my husband with his accounting work for his auto repair shop.
After, Michael, my husband, sold his business, he changed professions and started working for a national construction company.
Michael and I raised two beautiful, strong women so that's who I write about. The women in my books are strong individuals that have moments of weakness and frailty to work through.
Cynthia Woolf was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in the mountains west of Golden. She spent her early years running wild around the mountain side with her friends.
Their closest neighbor was one quarter of a mile away, so her little brother was her playmate and her best friend. That fierce friendship lasted until his death in 2006.
Cynthia was and is an avid reader. Her mother was a librarian and brought new books home each week. This is where young Cynthia first got the storytelling bug. She wrote her first story at the age of ten. A romance about a little boy she liked at the time.
She worked her way through college and went to work full time straight after graduation and there was little time to write. Then in 1990 she and two friends started a round robin, writing a story about pirates. She found that she missed the writing and kept on with other stories. In 1992 she joined Colorado Romance Writers and Romance Writers of America. Unfortunately, the loss of her job demanded she not renew her memberships and her writing stagnated for many years.
In 2001, she saw an ad in the paper for a writers conference being put on by CRW and decided she'd attend. One of her favorite authors, Catherine Coulter, was the keynote speaker. Cynthia was lucky enough to have a seat at Ms. Coulter's table at the luncheon and after talking with her, decided she needed to get back to her writing. She rejoined both CRW and RWA that day and hasn't looked back.
Cynthia credits her wonderfully supportive husband Jim and the great friends she's made at CRW for saving her sanity and allowing her to explore her creativity.
I live at the Jersey shore with my husband, 2 St. Danes, and 4 cats. During the Covid lockdown and much time on my hands, I began to research my family tree and found some very interesting relatives to say the least. Managing to trace back to the 14th century, I had the idea for a paranormal/fantasy romance fictional story line and that is how the 9-Ebook Beguiled West Series was born. I am fortunate enough to have found that my true passion is writing fiction with universal psychological elements. PRG, RWA, RWF, ALLi, IAN, and A2SRWA member.
