A drunken encounter. An unexpected reunion. How long can a newly single dad resist a bare-chested hunk of a housemate?

Clayton

My wife’s infidelity came as no surprise. However, I was surprised when she walked out of my life completely, leaving me to raise a tweenager grappling with puberty. Out of a job and under financial strain, I decided to rent out the extra bedroom in my basement. As soon as I met Jack, I knew I was headed for trouble, especially with the amount of time he spent shirtless.

Jack

At first I thought he was pretending, but the man I was about to rent a room from didn’t remember blowing me in a bathroom stall earlier this year. Normally, I’d be insulted, but it’s not like he was looking at my face. Then there was what I found behind the locked basement door. Once I saw that, there was no going back. I needed to show this sweet single dad that it was okay to take what he wanted, especially if it ended up with me on my back and a smile on my face.

Jack Frosting is a gay, age gap, rom-com with cameos from Snow Balling. It is recommended to read the Snow Dates series in order. This holiday novella features a BDSM playroom, a “frosting” fetish, a reluctant top and an insatiable bottom.

Clayton’s life nosedived when his wife and the mother of his son decided she wanted to start a new life with her Chiropractor minus one husband and son, although she wanted the cat, but Clayton said no, good for him. Feeling lost both for himself and his son Henry he asked a favor of his friends, Eli and Gareth who were the MC in book one to watch Henry while he took some time for himself.

Taking time for himself meant going to a gay bar drinking till he couldn’t see straight and giving a blow job to a man in the bathroom stall. After the deed was done the man pulled up his pants and just walked out leaving Clayton sitting alone on the toilet. Thankfully Gareth, his best friend, came to the rescue again and brought him home. Clayton remembers very little about what happened the night before but now sober he must look out for his thirteen-year-old son who also must deal with his mother’s departure. Unfortunately, Clayton thought the worst was over until the cherry on the top of his life resulted in him losing his job. Now with no immediate income he has decided to rent out his basement and Gareth has the perfect tenant.

When Gareth arranges a meeting between Clayton and his new tenant Jack it all appears to be a perfect fit only Jack and Clayton met before in a men’s bathroom stall. Jack waited for Clayton to throw him out, but Clayton has no memory of him, and Jack now has a new home. Thankfully Henry takes to Jack so there are no obstacles standing in the way of a pleasant arrangement between landlord and tenant.

Jack is a personal trainer and spends his time at the gym while Clayton spends his time at home looking for a job. Clayton is bi-sexual and never really had a relationship with a man that didn’t include his wife at the time, but Jack is tall, handsome, well built and hard to ignore. Jack uses Grindr to find dates and when he is told a secret by Henry, he begins to set up more dates and flaunts them in front of Henry, he has a reason and hopes it works.

Jack discovers an open door in the basement and cannot resist exploring. Clayton told him it was for storage but the sight of all manner of sex toys, anything you could imagine totally erased any thought of storage. Jack couldn’t wait to use the playroom, but he would have to wait for Clayton to loosen up. A dominant is living inside Clayton, but he hasn’t let him out for a while.

I don’t have to reveal that this book is full of kinky sex, the playroom was certainly a sure sign. I won’t go into any of the sexual acts, but they were hot but may not be for everyone. Putting the sex aside it was a beautiful story of two men who meet at the right time and if they play their cards right may have a HEA like their friends, Eli and Gareth. I learned about snowballing in book one and now I know why Jack loves frosting lol.
