Five months ago boy-band lead singer Cash Harper left Glen Echo in a hospital in Jalisco… and broke his heart.
Glen’s heart is the only home Cash has ever known. He’s spent the past five months trying to find his friend Brielle and make sense of his own instincts. Now he’s ready to be a real partner and lover to Glen—but first they have to finish their original mission.
Glen is ready for Cash to walk through his door needing help, but he is absolutely determined not to let him back into his heart. Men don’t run. Cash did. End of story.
Rescuing Brielle will take the full talents of Glen’s search and rescue company, and that means Cash needs to re-earn the team’s trust. Between Bond-villain traps, snakes that shouldn’t be there, and bad guys with guns, they all have plenty to negotiate. If Cash can prove he can stay the course and that he deserves Glen’s faith, they might survive this op whole and ready to love.

When Glen Echo goes in search of boy band lead singer Cash Harper he has no idea how it will change his life. He found Cash in Mexico sitting at a poker table with one of the players holding a knife and another holding a gun. Getting Cash out safely and hiding away at a motel and with their adrenalin high they wind up in bed together. Waking up Glen discovers that Cash is missing again and a night of sex seems to be all Cash desired.
Cash is on a crusade to find his friend Brielle, a girl who since they were in high school has always been his support. Cash and Brielle went into what they assumed was a rehab center off the beaten path so that Brielle had a good chance of kicking her habit unfortunately what he assumed was a rehab center was actually a cult which he escaped and is now determined to help her escape as well.
Reunited once again with Glen they prepare a plan to free Brielle and others held captive. Unfortunately an earthquake puts an end to any plans they had with Glen ending up in the hospital and once again Cash is gone. Five months have gone by and Glen is home when a knock on the door reveals a very tired and thin looking Cash who realized that Glen is where his home is only he has a lot of groveling to do before Glen will trust him again.
Glen and his partner Damien run a search and rescue company and with help from friends they discover where Brielle has been relocated to and once again have a plan in mind for her rescue. As they say the best laid plans don’t always work out the way they should and it definitely doesn’t work out for Cash.
I won’t go into too much detail about the rescue plan to bring Brielle home or the relationship between Cash and Glen but I will say that in addition to writing a beautiful love story Ms. Lane has written a very tense, edge of your seat rescue, guns, snakes and mercenaries it was quite a ride.
Two men as different as night and day, one who stays and one who runs try to find love. Love this story and the characters both main and secondary.

YES! We are back with the Search and Rescue guys and now we get to see Glen, our grouchy boss, find his happily ever after. But wait. This is an Amy Lane book so….yeah. Our guys are going to have to go through some things first, and this time there is a crazy cult leader to handle as well. While I think you could read this as a stand alone, the history of the characters would be so diminished that it would take away from the story. My favorite part of this series is the found family of the guys on the rescue team. Their history and bonds totally give such a great foundation for the other relationships that happen around them. I love that we get to see past couples from the series in this one-especially Preston. He is still my favorite.
Cash Harper is surprising. He is not a stereotypical boy band member that is for sure. After violating the one major rule of Glen Echo’s relationship standards, he really has his work cut out for him. How these two manage to find their way back with the world literally exploding around them is so endearing and fun to read. This is a great read and a fun addition to the series.
