University of Kentucky senior Kit Parkins has his life planned out. He’ll graduate, get a good job, find a better apartment, meet the guy of his dreams, and settle down to a happy life near his brother and uncles, the only family he has left. But meeting Lincoln Joyner, UK’s star basketball player, calls all his priorities into question.
Like Kit, Linc knows exactly where life is taking him: to the NBA and as far away from his hardscrabble childhood as possible. There’s just one problem. He falls in love with Kit, who can’t imagine life anywhere but in Lexington.
Can they find a way to keep their relationship going without giving up on their dreams?

Home and Away is a sweet sports romance. Just like in the real Lexington, Kentucky, basketball is one of the main characters in this book. With the University of Kentucky as a backdrop, we get to watch Kit and Linc fall in love. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, there were characters from the previous two Lexington Lovers books appearing in this story. Much of Kit’s past, which impacts his actions in this story, are covered in Blake and Thane’s story. As such, it would help the reader invest in Kit more having that information. The development of Kit and Linc’s romance was sweet but felt sort of disjointed. At times, I had a hard time feeling immersed in the story. I enjoyed the family dynamics and those relationships almost more than the main romance. This was a light read and would be a great weekend book.
