There are no words I can use that describe my feelings to beginning a new Amy Lane Book ! Have been reading her work even prior to Little Goddess and have filled my shelves with her books, Miss Amy is the champion of Faith, Love, Family, Hearth and Home.
Every book that becomes a family, a series then might merge two series or even three it is iconic. The Luck Mechanic is now sort of an off shoot of The Hedwitch Witch Lonely Hearts Series which takes us to a change of venue with new and exciting magic and mysteries. Book #1 The Rising Tide introduces us to Lucky and Scout. Each are in hiding, Scout from his Wizard father who banished him with Scout then aiding his sister to get away before leaving NY their compound in NY State; Lucky from Philadelphia gangsters chasing him. Both have found Spinner’s Drift to hide, work in town and made friends. We are learning about the area, and a bit of its history and now in Book #2 we meet Miller Aldrun new police officer and gorgeous and wealthy Piers Constantine who has left Law School to protect his cousin who is being stalked by evil. Scout has great powers, Lucky has a magic coin, Miller has a spidey sense that he feels crazy /evil coming and Piers can make light. Finding this group that meets at the Book Store one day a week has given them friends who have their backs.
If you have read any Amy Lane books, it is as I said : team work, friendships, working together for common enemy and of course a couple falling in love. What more can you ask for?
