New to me author Luna David brought in the big guns to finish this wonderful series and have us readers chomping at the bit for more !!! As I write this I am on the Amazon site checking some other books out to buy.
The premise of the stories had to be, all main characters had to live in this same town and have some type of jobs in the under belly of this city. Each had a membership in the Anonymous Club in the swankiest hotel in town. Mob Bosses, assassins, and all jobs of that type welcome.
In this last story we meet Tate, a hired killer….Ex Navy Seal gone independent. His job was to kill the Mayor for the syndicate. He was set up waiting for the mayor to show himself, when his goons bring in a young person, couldn’t see if it was man or woman he was beating to death. He squeezed the trigger and took the hit.
Finding a battered body still alive after checking the Mayor was dead was the whole premise of this great story. Finding Chance alive Tate needed to help get him to a doctor, taking him to The Club was his first thought, keeping him safe was his objective and he didn’t know why. It was just the right time.
Trigger warnings abound with Tate’s PTSD and Chance’s past childhood violence, but somehow, someway the respect and trust is formed between them and then the love and Daddy kink emerge. This story has it all, with a HEA too !!
