The newest Bennet Resort is Glacial Palace in Iceland and Rosalind (Rosi) Sanchez has won a three-week fantasy vacation as the first prize winner in a contest sponsored by Nicole Bennet the CEO and owner of Fantasy Resorts. Rosi and her plus one, Cora her best friend, are preparing for a once in a lifetime experience.
Rosi is working on her doctorate in Anthropology, and she is excited about her planned excursion with Austin Cooper, the face of the resort. Austin is an extreme athlete, and his goal is to be sponsored for the first space games on Bennet’s new Big Bang Resort so he will do whatever is necessary to realize that goal. If he must take Rosi on an excursion, then that is what he will do. Of course, after seeing Rosi spending time with her is not a burden.
Rosi believes in Cryptids, something that has brought her ridicule from family and friends, but she is determined to prove they exist. When she was a kid, she saw bigfoot and when she explained to her parents what she saw she was laughed at, but she just became more determined to prove their existence. Being at the resort she hopes to get some exploring in that would help with her doctorate, but she will learn more than she could ever have anticipated.
The two previous Bennet resorts suffered from unexpected trouble due to sabotage and this resort will not be immune to trouble. Electrical problems with heating, lights and the tubes used for traveling from one place to another came close to causing Austin to lose his life. It was quick thinking by Rosi that saved him.
Austin suffered a tragedy years ago that caused him to fear getting involved with anyone, and he wants to get involved with Rosi. His life is filled with danger and is not conducive to allowing another person to join him, he lost someone previously and will not allow it to happen again. Unfortunately, Austin quickly learns that what his head wants has nothing to do with what his heart wants, and it wants Rosi.
After Rosi and Austin finally consummate their relationship, he does something that will guarantee her walking away from him. Everything changes when Austin must take Rosi on her excursion and a crash and a monster can either bring them together or severe any chance of a relationship.
This book is filled with suspense, secrets, romance, sex and the unbelievable. The characters are wonderful, and Nicole Bennet once again must find a way to save her newest Resort.
