Samantha (Sam) Meadows finds herself at the new luxury resort Paradise Atlantis for a month and nothing about this luxury vacation is appealing to her. Her fear of the ocean the fact that the Bennet family she blames for her parent’s breaking up and for her mother now back home dealing with cancer on her own.
The resort is run by AI’s whose job is to ensure all guests have everything they need to make their stay a visit to paradise but it doesn’t take long before trouble brews. The only positive for Sam is Mason Bennet who she has had a crush on for a long time and Travis Gould another handsome young man both of whom are happily showing her all the attention she could desire. It is Travis’ parents who came close to dying when they are thrown into the area of live sharks and thanks to Sam they are saved. Not enough another human is found dead and all the time Sam dreads that her depth sensitivity illness could be causing her blackouts and she could actually be to blame for the problems that are occurring.
Paradise is becoming Hell with the AI’s taking over, even the Bennet’s losing control over their resort and escape impossible. Sam has agreed to help find answers and accepts an internship but she becomes increasingly worried that she could be the one responsible when she blacks out and loses time. It becomes a fight between the AI’s and the humans trying to escape and save everyone but there is still the question as to who is in control and what their goal is.
he relationship between Mason and Sam grows but then can they put their family problems where they belong and learn to trust each other. Lives are in danger; escape seems impossible and it is a fight to survive. This was a wonderful story filled with excitement, surprises, romance and a fight for survival.
