Caleb Graves the immortal navigator of the Sea Dog knows that tidal waves are threatening Savannah something that should never be happening so he has avoided sleep as much as possible and spends his nights buying every TV gadget, he can get his hands on. A tenured professor who once knew love and who for centuries has given up on ever having it again finds himself meeting a woman who will change all his concepts on magic the belief in Atlantis and that science is the answer to everything.
Diana Williams is a psychic who has come to collect on a promise of a favor from Drake who thanks to Diana saved the woman he loves, Heather. She has had dreams about the tidal waves threatening Savannah and needs the Sea Dog to take her out to the coordinates her dreams have shown her. The crew all accept going in search of Diana’s coordinates while Caleb is still unconvinced. While he finds himself trying to put some of his views in the rear-view mirror his feelings for Diana begin to grow.
Unknown to Diana, Caleb is also having dreams but while she faces hers, he tries to keep his secret. As they get closer to their destination something is trying to stop them, fire, storms and a connection that both Diana and Caleb can feel is pulling them closer.
I have read all the books in this series and loved each one, in addition Lisa Kessler is one of my favorite authors who always guarantees I will be sitting at the edge of my seat, romance, amazing characters and surprises. Caleb was such a wonderful character obsessed with late night shopping and accepting that some things can’t always be explained.
