This Fourth book in The Long Con adventures, gives ‘The Parents’ some down time, for them to let the ‘kids’ deal with the adventure and they deal only with Josh and his cancer.
Felix and Danny and Julia, find out that Josh’s paternal Dad is no longer alive BUT he has an Uncle, one Leon de Rossi very much alive.…He could be someone who might help with donating platelets, which is what is needed to help save Josh.
Carl Cox is “The Suit” who helped find and motivate Uncle de Rossi to come to America with his two children on spring break to help Josh. Now Carl is tasked with taking on the murder of Julia’s lover Matteo. Now this adventure will be run by all ‘the kids’…..
In his infinite sleuthing Carl has opened up a very large can of worms as to why Josh’s father is dead and why an employee of his company disappeared at that same time. With that mystery he finds hidden secrets that involve the insurance company Serpentus , that Carl is employed by.
Michael Carmody was a character in the last book; having being with Chuck involving a bank robbery. Chuck helping him get away from his brothers abuse, but unfortunately doing a two year jail sentence. When released, Chuck had him come and work as a car mechanic for the crew. When he got there all Michael saw was Carl Cox.
This story was incredible, every one using their talents was essential! It was a mystery, an education on birds; falcons, eagles etc. and best of all a love story.
Again I cannot say enough about this series
