Another amazing story by one of my favorite authors. This is a holiday novella, Christmas when miracles happen.
Winter Allen is an ice elemental witch who is also gifted with the ability to see ghosts. She is visited by a ghost who was murdered and asks Winter to find her daughter who she hid. Her daughter is being hunted and she fears for her safety. Her name is Ashley, and she has no idea that she is a witchwhich is a carbon copy of Winter’s life, abandoned with no knowledge that she was a witch and grew up in foster care.
With only a first name, finding Ashley is nearly impossible but she is determined to try. She asks for the help of Jackson Walker, a PI and a werewolf who she went to high school with but who she never spoke to. Jackson was always attracted to Winter but every time he tried to speak with her something got in the way.
While helping Winter, Jackson is also trying to get information about a law firm his alpha is convinced is involved with the Coven of Shadows who hunt and kill werewolves. After touching Winter, Jackson knows she is his mate but how can he just come out and tell her since they just met. Winter throws caution to the wind and sleeps with Jackson knowing that he will eventually find his mate and she will be left in the dust, but it is Christmas, and she really needs to connect with someone.
Winter never expected that one night with Jackson would lead to her wanting a lifetime with him, but he deserves to find his mate, the mate that is her. Jackson must get his act together or he will lose the only woman he will ever love. Well, this is the perfect time for a Christmas miracle. Winter had a less than perfect childhood and no one deserves to find love more than her.
Romance, sex, amazing characters, suspense and a magic broach just more reasons to love this story.
