Spring is in full bloom in Raven’s Hollow, a small town in the Colorado Rockies with a population of unique townspeople. Blaze, a dragon shifter, and Wynter, a witch, are neck-deep in wedding preparations, when Wynter’s mother, Jade, goes missing after opening her new antique store, and attending the Simon estate sale where she procured an ancient jelly bean machine. Frantic with worry, Blaze and Wynter track her last movements via the store’s ancient, grainy, security footage. What it reveals is nothing short of shocking. As deputy sheriff, it’s Blaze’s responsibility to find his soon-to-be mother-in-law. But at what cost?

This is part of the Jelly Beans and Spring Things series anthology , each of the 20 books written by a different author. This addition reunites the characters from Meringue Snowflake Magic, a book you really should read if you haven’t already since it fully explains what happened to all the characters and how they wound up where they are now. As an additional plug there are amazing cookie recipes.
Blaze is now planning his wedding with Wynter, he’s a dragon shifter and she’s a witch. Jade, Wynter’s mother, has opened an antique shop and her current finds at an estate sale will lead to all kinds of trouble. Her biggest purchase is an antique jelly bean machine and it is something she has no intention of selling.
Wynter, her best friend Syndi, Wynter’s brother and sister-in-law and mom have all survived witness protection and danger from the mob that was after them. Everyone has new jobs, and all their focus is on the upcoming wedding. A new baby is on the way, a wedding is in a few weeks and then Jade disappears. Blaze is sure of how to reach her, and he too disappears. If you are wondering where they are and what happened the answers won’t come from me.
I have yet to read a book by Ms. Stetler that I didn’t love and if you are not familiar with her paranormal romances then you have some wonderful reading ahead of you. The characters are wonderful, there are always surprises, romance and secrets so once you start reading you will not be able to stop.
