Life for Kenny Somerton had just begun. Recent college graduate who snagged his dream job and had been sent to attend a business meeting in New Orleans. A place at the top of his bucket list. What was even more fortuitous was this year his birthday fell during Mardi Gras. How could he not fly in a few days early to celebrate?
The streets were packed, and the bars filled to the brim. It took forever to get through the line to get a drink, and by sheer luck, he snagged a barstool at the same time. Ah, now he could relax and listen to the band play. Their sound was so surreal, so alluring, and Kenny swayed to the music.
Shadow Wraith. The name ghosted through the air and there he was.
Banjo.
An unforgettable first time. Though one sultry night was not enough with Mister Right.

A very short, sexy story. Kenny Somerton has decided to visit New Orleans for his thirtieth birthday and cross one item off his bucket list. While at the bar he heard the last band, Shadow Wraith play and a singer that sent chills down his body.
When the singer came up to him and introduced himself as Banjo and suggested that he and Kenny go somewhere more private, Kenny couldn’t believe his luck. In Kenny’s room he found paradise with Banjo a man who played him like a fiddle. Unfortunately, Banjo revealed that he only had the one night.
In the morning Kenny was alone and went on his cemetery tour where he saw a gravestone with Banjo’s name and realized he was a ghost. Leaving New Orlean’s with the knowledge that ghosts existed he took his secret with him, but he was in for a surprise, and what a surprise it was.
A visit to the Big Easy during Mardi Gras, a ghost and an unexpected surprise made this story a winner in my book.
