Wow, I just reviewed Book #1 The Long Way Home in February and lo and behold here is Book #2 releasing today!
The last time I left this town Gib was joining the practice of a wonderful local doctor looking for help in his busy practice. Gib has accepted that position and will be bringing his partner Allen and their two kids to join him. Their story becomes part of this book very smoothly I might add.
In this second book two, Gib and Ash now work at the practice because Ash’s Dad has recently retired. Todd comes into town to help his Dad fix his roof, when he ‘stepped off the roof’ by accident and needed medical help. Todd was only in town to help at the odd request of his father. Never intending to visit long, circumstances and his fractured leg prevented him from leaving, and the scene was set for maybe an Ash -Todd reunion.
Sparks flew when Ash was the only one at the Dr. Office. Todd was unwilling to be treated and that’s how we found out most of the background story. Todd and Ash had been childhood friends then lovers. After High School, Todd evidently broke Ash’s heart by leaving. But each young man lives with the thought all these years, that the other one was the breaker upper….and they each felt they were the wounded one.
Todd never had a great relationship with his Dad after his mother died. Todd felt Ashe’s Dad and sister were his family. He thought of Ashes Dad, as his Dad.
This double edge sword of a story had some family surprises for the reader and the boys ….Blake you had me at page one; charming me again. Your story was smooth and believable and sweet yet the family issues were so true to life.
And look Book #3 Discovering Home is up for Pre Order in April!!! Can’t wait…
