I thought I had read every type of shifter book, till this one. Alain Wymark is a warlock with no useful magic and his shifting ability is not a werewolf, dragon or any other animal it is a shiny red roadster. Alain is a mechamag warlock who can only shift into one mechanical device, a car.

He is home from Paris visiting family shifting into his car for a drive past the woman he has always loved Ramona. They broke up when she felt he was keeping secrets from her and he was, how do you tell the girl you love you are also a car. He always passes her parent’s house to check on her and this time she is kissing a man. Christmas day her new boyfriend presents her with what she believes is a new red roadster since Alain fell asleep and didn’t move the car.

Ok this is where the story gets steamy, but I won’t reveal what happens, I have to leave a surprise or two for you to find out for yourself. I will remember this book since it is my first shifter car.
