Was it Fate or Chance when Hanna Beaufort met Luke St. James in Dublin? The stories he told her about creatures intending to do her harm seems impossible… Until the stories prove to be true, and she finds danger at every turn.

Luke St. James, one of seven immortals designed to find and protect a holy Christian artifact, and named Blood Knights due to their infusion of special blood, has already lived for centuries when he meets Hanna in the current year. Can he protect her from monsters that roam after dark, and make her believe in an unseen world, or will he fall for her and need help of his own?

This is an amazing series; each book is the story of one of the seven Immortals called Blood Knights who protect the Holy Grail and humans from the monsters that come out at night. While Luke is watching for trouble, he sees four Shades and manages to get rid of them. Unfortunately, while he was fighting with them, he did not see a woman passing the alley and all she saw was Luke St. James. Now he knows that she is in trouble, and they will return to get her.

Luke knew that the woman needed to be protected and so he watched her apartment, and she saw him. Hanna had no idea what she stepped into and her introduction to the supernatural. She sees Luke as a stalker and as much as he tries to explain the situation his warnings fall on deaf ears.

Then Hanna begins having dreams of Luke’s past, the castle where he and his brothers of the Blood Knights met their death and were given immortality. We get the full story of what happened when the three Makers made the seven and the horrors that resulted from their experiments. Two of the Makers are dead, and one more exists.

Hanna searches for the Broceliande Castle that she sees in her dreams and the one Luke talks about to prove that he is mentally ill. Returning to the start of all the horrors, a castle now in ruin destroyed by an angel out for revenge.

While walking around the property where the castle once stood, she gets her first look at the monsters Luke was telling her about, now the truth of monsters existing is a reality. While there Luke meets up with two other Blood Knights now he has help when the vampires and whatever other creatures show up.

Hanna now realizes that what Luke has been telling her is true, but they must figure out why she is dreaming of his past and why there is a bond between them. Luke believes she is more than human but what.

The creation of the seven Blood Knights is told in full detail in addition to the various horrors the Makers subjected innocent people to including an angel. This series is amazing, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. When I start one, I don’t put it down until the end.

Everything you could want in a paranormal romance is in the books in this series.
