Viscount Collin Northington has spent his life under his father’s thumb. When his friend George and his cowboy husband, Alan, offer to let him tag along to the US for two weeks, Collin jumps at the chance to get away. Perhaps the open ranges of Wyoming will put his problems into perspective. He even dreams of meeting a cowboy of his own.
He doesn’t expect his dreams to come true.
When Tank Rogers returned home after his military service, he took over the family ranch the way he knew he was meant to. Now he’s the only one left, but he likes the solitude. Even so, he has no excuse to object to putting up Alan’s friend for a few weeks in exchange for some help around the ranch—it wouldn’t be neighborly.
The feelings he has for his blue-blooded houseguest aren’t exactly neighborly either.
Once Tank realizes there’s more to Collin than upper-crust manners, suddenly his solitary life holds a lot less appeal. But in the long term, Tank doesn’t fit into Collin’s fancy society life any more than Collin fits into Tank’s down-home and dusty ranch… does he?

Viscount Collin Northington has grown tired of his father Earl of Doddington’s controlling ways and has agreed to accompany Alan and George back to America. Alan and George’s story was The Duke’s Cowboy, a must read and a large part of this story.
When Collin arrives, there is no room at Alan’s house for all of them, so they arranged for Collin to stay with Timothy “Tank” Rogers their neighbor. Tank agreed to take in Collin but both men had preconceived ideas of what they were like. Tank believes Collin is going to be a pompous, boring noble and Collin believes Tank is a quiet boring cowboy, time would tell how wrong they both were.
As both men work together, they begin to have feelings for each other after realizing they are not what they expected. Maureen, Alan’s mom cooks for them all and Tank who is used to being by himself finally begins to open up. Collin loves working on the ranch with the horses and has a natural ability to soothe even the most difficult horse.
Then a man from Tank’s past shows up. Sullivan and Tank served together in the army, and something happened that Sullivan blames Tank for. Collin is very protective of Tank and ensures that Sullivan leaves the ranch. Unfortunately, Sullivan isn’t giving up so easily and information about why he is there is revealed.
Collin feels free on the ranch, away from his controlling father but he has responsibilities back home which make staying impossible. Tank brought his ranch back from the brink of loss and now he has a responsibility to his workers and the ranch he saved. As the two men grow closer, they know that time is running out, Collin is only going to be in America for two weeks and the days are flying.
Trying to make the most of the time they have together, something happens that will shorten their time together and it is something out of their control. Tank and Collin’s feelings for each other has grown into love but life and responsibilities stand in their way of having a life together.
Once again Andrew Grey amazes me, his ability to write about so many different topics and with knowledge. I always learn something new, now I know more about what it takes to run a ranch (hard work) and what being a noble is really like, it is not just living in a huge mansion, having money but it is a life filled with responsibility, sometimes little money and a lot of hard work.
