This was a short, sweet romance about two people who find themselves registered at Pumpkin Spice and Speed Dating and who are both less than pleased.
Three months ago, Izzy’s boyfriend, Travis left her. He was the one she always assumed was comfortable and safe and she was so wrong. She has relocated to Pine Ridge, a town where people use magic and other species of supernaturals. It was her sister Harper, the mother of twins, married to a warlock that decided Izzy had mopped long enough and it was time to get out into the world. Harper signed her up for the speed dating event where you ordered a pumpkin spice coffee that would contain an enhancement potion. That was not her style, and she brought her own coffee determined to find Mr. Right Now, since she had no faith in finding Mr. Right and without any enhancements.
Ardghal Walsh (Ardy) is a police officer and a pooka and like Izzy does not want to go out dating. Unfortunately, Ardy’s mom, like Izzy’s sister decides to enroll him in the speed dating event and he finds himself with eleven other men vying for a possible date. From the minute he entered the coffee shop he had his eye on Izzy, but he would have to start with number one and work his way up to her since she is number twelve.
When the two of them finally are sitting face to face there is an instant attraction and they both are rethinking their idea of a relationship but whether that happens is not something I will reveal I have to leave something for you to discover on your own.
This was a sweet, short read and I loved every minute of it.
