Dr. Eavan Delaney is an elf princess left by her parents with a human family and raised like their own. Her parents are in exile, and she has been trying to fulfil their role and unite the guardians of rivers, springs, ponds, waterfalls, lakes, and oceans. Eavan is the guardian of rivers, and she must bring all the spirits of nature together to protect the waters before it is too late. Protecting nature is a problem we face every day; we could use some heavenly help too.
To achieve her goals, she will need the help of Pan and the Archangels. For her protection she is assigned Tsechirel an Archangel she immediately feels an attraction to, and it is reciprocated. It doesn’t take long before Tsechirel recognizes Eavan as his consort, in the world of angels it is a deeper connection than marriage. Eavan can refuse but she knows that will never happen, they belong together for eternity.
When Lucifer requests a meeting with Eavan he is immediately turned down but on second thought an agreement is reached. Eavan is a very strong-willed woman and despite her internal fear of Lucifer she gives as good as she gets, actually she puts Lucifer in his place and leaves him in shock. Eavan gets a lot of help from the other consorts who we met in earlier books on what to expect and she is welcomed into the family.
What Eavan never expected was to have her mortal life removed, she is reported as having died in an accident losing her practice and any friends she made when she was presumed to be human. She belongs with Tsechirel, his partner to love and fight by his side against evil. Lucifer attempts to get Eavan to meet with him under the pretense that her parents are alive and want to see their daughter, but Eavan looks him in the eye and tells him she doesn’t care.
This is such an amazing series and if you haven’t read any of the books you are missing out on some exciting reading. There are surprises, secrets and a fight between good and evil. Archangels meeting their consorts makes for some very romantic moments.
I can’t recommend this series highly enough. I have no doubt that once you read one book you will be craving more.
