Fall in love with the alien from the galaxy next door…

Nessa’s job as a shuttle tech and inspector is to make sure shuttles are in tip-top shape before they fly out so their occupants arrive alive. So what if scary thugs are guarding a derelict-looking shuttle at the Milky Way Galactic Port? That won’t stop Nessa from completing her inspection. When she finds their hidden cargo—a pair of human women in stasis being sent off-world—Nessa only has seconds to escape before being added to their collection. With the thugs closing in and only seconds to spare, Nessa programs the shuttle with the last coordinates in her inspection log and hopes she’s safer taking her chances with the unknown instead of the danger she’s leaving behind.

Kamau, the Servali chef on the Comet Stalker, prides himself on feeding the crew and passengers the best food the Felix Orbus Galaxy has to offer. Nourishing the new families on board helps him forget that he doesn’t have a Queen or cubs of his own. With an increasing population of humans aboard his craft, he decides it’s time to master their traditional cuisine. But the pod of ingredients he ordered from the Milky Way Galaxy arrives with a chaser—a damaged shuttle with the most beautiful (and the most seriously ill) woman he’s ever seen. Could this be an unlikely gift from the universe? Could Nessa be the Queen he’s been waiting for, the woman he can pamper and adore, nurse back to health, and save from a lifetime of loneliness? If only she weren’t such a brave, heroic Queen, obviously meant for a Tigerite warrior or a Leonid captain. Such a prize could never fall for a scrawny Servali chef—right?

When Nessa awakes, she’s warm, safe, and being pampered like royalty. Her guardian angel has fur, sports an apron, and treats her better than any human ever has. She’s instantly drawn to Kamau and the friendship he offers her. If only he wanted to be more than friends!

Enjoy a standalone friends-to-lovers sci-fi romance from the Felix Orbus Galaxy. A steamy happily ever after awaits!

Nessa Kinney is a shuttle tech on the Milky Way Galactic Port and takes her job very seriously so when she is bribed to look the other way, she just uses the money as a contribution.
When she finally goes to examine the shuttle where the attempted bribery went down, she finds herself being attacked by the two men who first approached her. In the shuttle are two other women in hypersleep who she is sure were kidnapped. Fighting the two men and pushed off the shuttle she knows that if she doesn’t do something quick, she and the other two women would die when they landed.
She quickly changed the coordinates for the shuttle she checked previously and knew that it was headed to the Felix Orbus Galaxy and would be met ship to ship. It was a long trip without food and water and without being in a hypersleep chamber but at least she had a chance of surviving.
Kamau is the chef on board the Comet Stalker where he makes food for both the Felid and humans. He takes great pride in his care of the queens as they are called mated with Felids and some with cubs or expecting cubs. When two shuttles appear, everyone is curious because only one should have arrived. Fearing the worst they are about to eject the shuttle when the human women agree that something is going on and that the shuttle should be investigated.
The investigation reveals two women in hypersleep and one woman lying on the floor having gone through a space jump without protection. Her injuries are serious, and her chances of survival don’t look good. When Kamau sees her, he immediately is attracted to her. He talks to her even when she is out cold and cooks special food for her if she survives.
I loved this book as I have loved all of Ms. Principale’s books that I have read. The characters are wonderful, and she explains some of what the Felix Orbus Galaxy has suffered since the Queen Fever. Each book is a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading them all, it is well worth your time.
There is sex, romance, surprises and betrayal. Ms. Principale makes differences between alien and humans seem inconsequential which is exactly how it should be.
