Amy Lane has such a way with “sweet” and it doesn’t even give you a tummy ache!!! In this difficult world today riddled with tension, Amy writes Weirdos and was a balm to my heart reading it.
Taz Oswald and his adopted Chihuahua, Carl are finally on their own. Taz graduating college and working in a gift shop has it made. His boss and shop owner Wendy hooked him up to a management gig of beach homes with he having one of his own to live in right on the beach. But Taz is missing a partner, someone to come home to.
Then one magical day Selbie Hirsh awkwardly blurts out an invitation to both walk their dogs together the next day. Wendy approves and she as the guardian Mom keeps the advice coming…
This is a short read, with an author’s note at the end explaining two of the characters are their own personal pets written into the story…..Carl is Amy’s older daughters rescue and Ginger is exactly how Selbie found her by Amy’s husbands friend,,,,and they took her.
The 80 pages is just as sweet as you think and pulls on your heart strings…..It did mine….
