A human with Fae powers living like an oddball has its ups and downs until Evie MacDougall’s dream Fae boy pops back into her life after she thought another was “the one.” One dark and devilish, the other her long-lost love. Evil forces trap her for a magic Fae stone, but which man can she trust?
As a teen prophesied to be Fae king, Aodhán viewed the girl of his dreams through an Eye of Ra. Once, he risked all to help Evie MacDougall find a magic Fae stone, only to end up imprisoned. Kept from his true love for years, he finds her at risk from an evil Fae hunting a magic stone.
Is a single vow strong enough to save true love, to save the human and Fae realms?

Stone of Doubt follows Evie, a young goth girl from a family that has fae ancestry. She and her brother have recently graduated and are now out in the world, trying to find a sense of self. Her parents have taught both her and her twin that their futures are tied to prophecies involving ancient stones. Evie finds herself in a love triangle, pulled in two different directions between a fae prince who had mysteriously disappeared and then resurfaced, and a powerful warlock with dark desires. Evie must make the right choices in order to protect her family and denizens of the fae realm.
For me, Stone of Doubt was just okay. Evie wasn’t an overly strong female character. I often felt like she just went along with whatever was happening in the moment. When her first great love Aodhan reappears after 8 years of absence, she didn’t seem overly interested in him, as she continued to go out on dates with Manix. Then the big magical fight happens, which she is mostly unconscious for, and then yay! her and Aodhan are getting married! A lot was missing for me, and I did not sympathize with Evie at all. I did enjoy the world building, and I found myself much more interested in the secondary characters and the stories of the stones that came before and are forthcoming in this series.
