Marina

I’m Marina, your friendly neighborhood Rusalka. Oh, don’t worry, I’m not stealing men’s souls and luring them to a watery grave. I just need to borrow some sexual energy to stay alive, and with a college campus full of horny frat boys handy, I’m always full.

Of course, not everyone is happy that I’ve chosen a peaceful, harmless existence in Pine Ridge—especially Koshchei. You could call him my demon overlord, but “petty vengeful jerk” works, too. When the Big K discovers my disobedience, he’s determined to make me pay. I need to exploit an ancient loophole—and fast. I’m going to need a husband.

When I meet Kev, I think I’ve met an easy mark. He’s strong and protective, kind and caring, and always makes me laugh. Best of all, he doesn’t even realize the woman he’s dating is a monster. Love is blind—and that’s a problem. The one man I need to use is the one I can’t bear to hurt.

Kev

I’ll admit it. I have a thing for damsels in distress. I’m a lover, not a fighter, a healer, not a hurter. When I move to Pine Ridge and meet Marina, I just can’t figure her out. She draws me in like no one else but keeps trying to push me away. Our physical chemistry is off the charts, but she seems genuinely freaked when I want to turn a fling into forever.

When I find out she’s in danger from a mysterious dude named Big K, I don’t even have to think about what I’ll do. I’m going to show this joker that you don’t mess with my girl—even if Marina warns me I may end up dead trying to help her.

So, all I have to do is deal with Marina’s crazy ex, keep my new job, and convince the woman I love that she should marry me. What could go wrong?

Marina is a Rusalka, a demon who feeds on sexual energy. In the past she lured men and killed them sending their souls to Koshchei, the demon overlord who created them. Marina has stopped the killing and is running from Koschei even though he won’t awaken for another century.

Summers in Pine Ridge are not beneficial to her since there aren’t a lot of men available until the new school year begins so she is starving. Laying in the gym pool thinking of the past when she fell in love with a human, Gregor a man who was able to keep her full until he died. While waiting for school to open she looks up and sees her next meal, Kevin Bailey.

Kevin has relocated to Pine Ridge to finish his education and has a job working at the Pine Ridge Hospital Outpatient Annex as a therapy coach, his life is looking good only thing missing is a woman. When he decides to utilize the free membership of the gym and go for a swim, he sees Marina and is captivated.

After a night of hot sex, he is in love only Marina is afraid to allow herself to be with just one man, but she can’t say no to him when he asks to see her again. Kev is clueless to what Pine Ridge is, a safe place for supernatural’s to live in conjunction with humans. The closer Kev and Marina get the more she tries to reveal she is a monster but no matter how hard she tries she can’t get him to see the real her.

Kev is determined that Marina will be his one and only and she is not far behind. When she discovers that Koshchei (Big K) can awaken in a few short weeks she must find a way to protect Kev and herself. With help from her supernatural friends, they decide that a ceremony uniting Kev and her souls would keep Big K from taking her only that would require revealing all to Kev.

Now Kev will learn that he is surrounded by monsters, friendly monsters and his dream girl is one of them. After learning everything will Kev still go through with the ceremony, not for me to reveal.

Violence, a demon overlord, steamy supernatural sex, death and heroes to the rescue.

Every visit to Pine Ridge is an experience you shouldn’t miss.
