Who needs love when getting justice sounds so much sweeter…?

Shae Silverstorm

Freedom is all I’ve dreamed about for the last fifteen years.

When I see my chance to escape captivity, I have to take the risk. And for once, luck is on my side.

However, I have no doubt my captors are looking for me.

When I get approached by an eccentric group of misfits called MEOW Squad (don’t even ask) offering to keep me safe and help me get justice, I don’t have much choice but to accept.

The only problem? One of them has the bonkers notion that I’m his fated mate.

Fine. I’ll admit, Wolf Boy has a seriously hot surfer bod, not to mention unfairly cute furry ears and a tail. Talk about a deadly combo.

But love is for suckers and fated mates aren't to be trusted. I've got proof of that. Taking down my evil father, wicked stepmonster, and cruel stepsister has to be my top priority.

But damn if Griffin isn’t starting to break through my strongest defenses though, with his puppy-dog eyes, sunshiny personality, and dog-like (pun intended) devotion to me.

Griffin McIntyre

When I find a magical gold coin straight out of Tolkien (sweet!), it tells me it’s my “Lucky Day.”

And that’s proven the moment I meet Shae because he’s my fated mate.

As a Wolfkin with empathic magic abilities, I was a disappointment to my old pack. Now, as a member of MEOW Squad, I use my powers to help those in need. And I’ve never met anyone who needs me more than Shae.

All I want is to help him heal and get the justice he deserves. Oh, and have him accept our mate bond. If I can conquer a ten-foot wave, then I can do this!

I’ll wait as long as it takes. Just like ice cream and apple pie, we’re meant to be.

Siren in the Rain is about a gorgeous but grumpy siren Cinderfella with the voice of an angel and a mouth full of sass and the golden retriever of a Wolfkin who’s his fated mate. It features more grumpy/ sunshine vibes than one can shake a stick at, all the swoon-worthy hurt/comfort feels, a found family made up of lovable weirdos, and a guaranteed HEA. It’s the first book in a new spin-off series set in the Monsters Hollow universe.

Siren in the Rain is a part of the multi-author series, Fortune Favors the Fae. From spicy to sweet, zany romps to epic adventures, there’s something for everyone in this mystical series. Discover destiny and true love and follow the coin on its fickle journey to the next world and a new magical adventure.

At the age of ten Shae Silverstorm’s mother was killed by his father and his new stepmother aka stepmonster imprisoned him with his father’s blessing. Shae’s mother was a siren making Shae half siren something that disgusted his father and stepmother. His mother married his father because she knew he was her fated mate, but it was something he would never accept and led to her death and her son to live fifteen years as a prisoner.

His stepsister became a super star lip-syncing while Shae sang his siren song behind a screen. He was starved, had a collar around his neck that blocked his magic and was used for torture. The only companion was his Drake, Haku who was a tiny dragon-like creature. Finally with help from Haku and a woman who used to work for his stepmother Shae has finally decided to risk it all and attempt to escape.

Finally free, hurt and in poor physical condition Shae is rescued and brought to a shelter for otherkind given medical attention and introduced to the MEOW Squad a bunch of misfits working to save otherkind. Although hesitant to trust Shae had no choice but to follow them hoping he is making the right choice.

Griffin, a wolfkin sees Shae and knows immediately he is his fated mate, but Shae is not trusting of anyone so how can he hope for a future relationship. Griffin is an empath so little by little he can offer comfort to Shae which is all Shae is willing to accept. The whole group embraces Shae, but he won’t let his guard down.

While Griffin tries to convince Shae that they are fated mates he refuses to accept that since the only other fated mates, he knew were his parents and look what happened. Shae is in danger because there is no doubt his family is not going to stop till they find him. Unfortunately, Shae is only the tip of the iceberg there are many otherkind out there suffering but human authorities turn a blind eye.

Griffin is such an amazing character, sweet, loving, and a ball of energy. Shae is a twenty-five-year-old who missed out on a life of love living in a cage and alone. Now he must relearn everything he missed, amusement parks, swimming, movies, things that most kids grow up taking for granted.

It is always hard for me to read about abuse of children and Shae’s abuse was tragic. A book filled with sadness and hope with people willing to do anything to help those in need.

Sex, betrayal, lies, secrets and surprises and a gold coin found by Griffin.
