A gargoyle hotter than Goliath (IYKYK) meets a human bad luck magnet with a coveted power that attracts trouble like catnip does cats. Is it destiny or disaster?

Noah Price

When a mysterious magic shop owner draws the lucky tarot Star card for me, I drop everything and hop on a plane to Scotland for the bucket-list trip of my dreams. Outlander (and Highlander, for my fellow nerds), eat your heart out!

Chaos ensues from the moment I arrive and before I know it, the danger turns deadly. Then a smoking hot gargoyle-slash-Highland warrior swoops (literally) in to rescue me—and in a super sexy kilt, no less. Swoon!

My bad luck must be turning good because I've finally met the man--I mean, gargoyle--of my dreams. But Elryk DarkWing doesn't share my optimistic outlook on life and our budding relationship soon has to take a back seat to a threat to our world. I believe in destiny, though--and I'll make sure we get our HEA!

Elryk DarkWing

Guarding a powerful magic ley line in the heart of the Highlands has been the responsibility of the DarkWing clan for centuries. This wasn’t the path I’d wanted for my life, but here I am.

That is, until my fated mate shows up, an attractive wee human with a surprising ability and all kinds of trouble hot on his heels.

Can such a delicate being survive among battle-hardened gargoyles that risk life and limb every time there’s a threat to the ley line we protect? Can he adapt to this isolated life, removed from most of human society? Answer—not bloody likely.

Noah’s unique power has drawn the unwanted attention of friend and foe alike, and I soon realize keeping Noah safe is a Herculean task. I won’t back down though, because maybe...just maybe...Noah's right, and our destiny's is written in the stars.

Noah Price had bad luck all his life until he visited a store called The Magic
Shop where he was given a free tarot reading. When he was told to close his eyes and pick a card he picked the Star card. The card meant he had to figure out what his heart desires and pursue it. When he finally realized what his heart desired, which was his bucket list trip to Scotland, he didn’t waste time and made all his plans to leave.

Eleyk DarkWing is a gargoyle and guardian for the DarkWing clan and was informed that a conduit has arrived, a conduit who can share magical energy with others and is desperately needed. There is danger following the conduit who apparently has no idea what he is and how to use his power.

Noah is in danger and must be found and Eleyk takes off and finds him in the nick of time since he was attacked on his train and fell off. While Eleyk flies Noah to safety at DarkWing castle and while holding him realizes that Noah is his fated mate. As his fated mate, Eleyk is afraid to show any emotion but Noah who has this lust for his Highland hero doesn’t hold back.

Overjoyed to be in a castle Noah can’t wait to explore and keeps trying to get Eleyk to accept him. Noah is ignorant of what is going on until a meeting with the clan leader and the Oracle reveals everything to him. He now knows that Eleyk is his fated mate and he learns about what he is.

Eleyk finally admits his feelings for Noah, and they don’t waste time in proving that they are fated mates. Eleyk worried because he wasn’t sure Noah would agree to stay with him, but Noah has no fear and living in a castle is something he can’t wait for.

Danger is coming and it is necessary for Noah to learn how to draw power from the ley lines and Noah is ready to do whatever is needed from him. As the Barrier Master responsible for keeping the ley lines protected, Eleyk can’t do it alone and needs Noah, but he worries about Noah’s safety.

This book had me laughing out loud, Noah is a small man with a huge attitude, he doesn’t back down from a fight. He says anything that comes into his head and doesn’t pull any punches. Noah is a movie buff and quotes them often. His dream of coming to Scotland to meet sexy Highlander’s in kilts has come true but he must survive the danger that is coming.

There is explicit sex, violence, romance and explicit sexual language.

I couldn’t put the book down and Noah had me laughing out loud so I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
