When London invites Kel to have kinky sex with her and her boyfriend, it’s a hard no. He’s not into guys, he’s not into kink, and he’s really not into letting people get too close.

Then London describes their exploits to him, and something unexpected happens.

Ty is a good Dom, even if he doesn’t do it very often. He’s happy to Dom London or teach her – but not on Kel, who’s only offering to join them so that they stop having sex with strangers. Then Kel admits that there's another reason.

When sex becomes something more, Ty finds himself stretched between a girlfriend with a dark past, and a friend who's afraid to trust. Even as London and Kel pull apart, Ty knows they each ache for connection.

Kel's a little unsure. London's a little awkward. They say the situation is a little weird, and only Ty can see that, for the three of them, a little weird is a little perfect.

Kel is ex-military who suffers from PTSD and has nightmares every night about his time as a prisoner in Iraq. He refuses to put down roots until he begins to work for Julia in her pub. Julia and her husband Dave give him a job as a cook and a place to live. He has found friendship with London, a girl with a past and her boyfriend Tyrone (Ty) who is her support system.

When London asks Kel to join her and Ty in a threesome with Kel being the submissive in the relationship Kel’s response is a definite no. Kel can’t picture himself being submissive to anyone. Then Kel learns that London and Ty will be advertising for a submissive and he fears for them. There are so many deranged people and he fears that they will be victims to the wrong person so agrees to be their third.

Kel tries to follow Ty’s orders but realizes he can’t go through with it, so he leaves. London’s past is finally revealed, she has no filter and when something comes to her mind it comes out of her mouth.

Kel gives it another try and isn’t as turned off as he thought he would be but still can’t get his mind around what he is doing. It is Ty that as a Dom gives London and Kel the support, they both need, Kel for his PTSD and London for her past but I believe there is more to Ty then what meets the eye.

It was sad to read about the struggles London and Kel suffered through and the support they both received from Tyrone. Kel continues to fight his feelings around what is going on and has one foot out the door only now he has people that won’t let him run, Julia, Dave, London and Ty.

This was light BDSM but a very good introduction into the lifestyle. Two people who are broken may find a way to heal and Ty always seems to know what they need.

There is a lot of sex, a lot of sadness and a lot of overcoming past tragedies. I would have liked more background on London and Kel, how London and Ty met and what Kel suffered when he was serving his country in Iraq.
