Aisling Mancy is not a new author to me. Aisling has written an astoundingly beautiful yet horrific trilogy series penned as C. Kennedy in the YA genre. Omorphi, Tharros and Elipda also deals with the topic of child sex trafficking. I have read that entire Award winning series and reviewed the three. Now this topic is part of this gritty adult thriller shared with author Shira Anthony in A Solitary Man.
The sweltering heat in the humid American South brings together two young men both with tremendous psychological baggage. On this night, Assistant District Attorney C. Evan “Chance” Fairchild meets Xavier “Xav” Constantine both are looking for a one night hook up. The evening successfully is memorable for them both in more ways than sex.
As we learn more about the two, and they begin learning about each other since fate casts her net …..they become involved in possibly more than they ever dreamed.
This story is not for the faint of heart, as both men are challenged by the horrors of their pasts, their regard for each other’s integrity and finally their love for each other….
