Gail Booher is a witch whose family is very powerful and whose uncle is the King of Fairies. She is the owner of an apothecary called Pixie Magic and her life was happy until her fiancé Dillon Dunlop was called back to Scotland by his father and grandfather. Gail’s family and business is in Ireland and she didn’t want to leave especially considering the fact that Dillon’s father absolutely hates her and her family.
Dillon was given an ultimatum by his family to come home or be disinherited. Dillon asked Gail to go with him and when she refused his anger drove him to make a huge mistake, calling off their engagement. As soon as he arrived home and returned to the law firm, he knew immediately that something was not right. The law firm never took cases involving magic but now suddenly that seemed to have changed. He needs to fix the problem with the firm on behalf of his siblings and mother because he is sure the problem lies with his father. Then he discovers one of his brothers is also involved.
While Dillon is dealing with problems at home, Gail is being stalked by a man she is sure is up to no good and is suspicious that he was sent by Dillon’s father to ensure that their engagement is indeed over. Sensing there is trouble Dillon returns to investigate what the problem is and is also sure his father is up to no good. Dillon admits that he acted out of anger and that he doesn’t want anyone to know that they are back together till he has answers to what is happening and asks for Gail’s help.
Until Dillon can find out what is going on at the law firm and what his father and brother’s participation is he must call on friends and family to search for how long the firm has been taking magical cases and how to keep the firm from losing its reputation. The family that Dillon’s father hates come to his rescue because the sooner Dillon can find answers and fix what is going on the sooner he can return to Ireland and marry Gail.
