Rachel Harris was a prisoner of Scarab where they proceeded to brainwash her, used her for an experiment and turned her into a modern-day Medusa. She no longer has hair but serpents and if anyone looks at them then they turn to stone. Escaping from them but not the curse Rachel fled to Peru for hopefully a new start.

She was used to create the ultimate biological weapon that only works on men but sexual she needs and wants men. She went to Peru where her coven was and were shifters live hoping for peace, unfortunately she didn’t get it.

Timothy Tsosie the alpha of one of the packs offered her what he thought would be a good solution to her hair, or lack thereof, problem, turn her. He felt sure that if she was turned it would end the curse while Rachel pictures herself in worse trouble than she presently is.

Timothy is very attracted to Rachel and insists on helping her no matter what that help would involve. There is an impending magical apocalypse that will affect everyone and everything on the planet and must be stopped. When Rachel is called to the Other Place, a place of evil Timothy joins her.

She is met by the evil spirit, Folly, who offers Rachel a deal, a game, a game if Rachel wins will get her everything she wants and if Folly loses, she loses everything. Rachel has no choice but to accept, knowing that Folly is confident she will win and will do everything in her power to assure her of that. The game would take Rachel and Timothy to different timelines, and she had to meld all of them together.

Rachel must halt a deadly prophecy by mastering chaos magic. Rachel uses chaos magic and when she realizes that she is attracted to Timothy she realizes that their lust could be a danger. Running to Peru after escaping that mad scientist that experimented on her was her hope for finding a new beginning, unfortunately, it did anything but.

This is a series that should be read in order to fully understand the prophecy and at the same time visit characters and places full of magic. This book was filled with surprises, secrets, romance, good against evil and a modern-day Medusa. If you love magic, then this is the series for you.
