Sammy is content with running his bookshop and leading a book club consisting solely of paranormal creatures. Despite the persistence of his friends, he has resolved himself to a life without romance, since he doesn’t think anybody could find him and his tendency to spill useless knowledge whenever he gets nervous attractive.
Dresalantion is a demon prince and slightly—make that majorly—annoyed when somebody persistently tries to summon him. He finally decides to show up and put the fear of Dresalantion into his summoners but finds himself rescuing their sacrifice instead.
Sammy intrigues him from the get-go, and when Dre realizes that Sammy can get him the manga he’s been hunting for months—not to mention that he refuses a wish he offered him—the sexy demon decides to get to know this fascinating man better. Much better.

Sammy owns Sammy’s Book Corner and runs a book club filled with all kinds of paranormals, a zombi, two alpha werewolves, a banshee and two witches so needless to say Sammy, a human is very familiar with paranormals and since his parent’s death they have become family. One night after the club was over he went to throw out the garbage and was attacked and when he woke up he would be face to face with a demon.
Dresalantion is the demon prince and has been summoned over and over again by a group of human teenagers and he finally decided to teach them a lesson. Obviously these kids had no idea about controlling a demon but they knew enough to offer a sacrifice and you guessed it it was poor Sammy. As soon as the two of them saw each other sparks flew, Dre hoping beyond hope that he found his mate and Sammy hoping beyond hope that he finally found someone to love and be loved back.
Of course when his friends discover that he has been in touch with a demon all their protective instincts kick in from trying to teach Sammy about sex with a paranormal and warning him about the size of a demon’s male anatomy but Sammy is determined to be with Dre who shows him a world he never could have imagined. Travelling from country to country with just a slice of Dre’s claw and challenging Dre about who knows more about the history of the country they are visiting brings Sammy’s love of books and knowledge up close and personal.
There is only one way of knowing if Sammy is Dre’s mate and if they will have an eternity together but fear of finding out that he is not keeps them from trying. Sammy is an adorable character who when nervous can’t stop from rambling. His friends have adopted him as one of their own and no one will survive hurting him. The book takes us on Sammy and Dre’s journey toward forever and since this is book one I can’t wait to see who is next I hope it is Dre’s younger brother Barion who we met and who yearns for a mate of his own.
A beautiful story about two total opposites in every way possible but who fall in love in spite of all the differences.
