I never thought I’d have to kill a billionaire playboy...

But here’s the thing: he’s a dragon shifter. At least, that’s the rumor. And dragons are dangerous—they burned my old town and thousands of people in it.

I never wanted to become a hunter, but if I don’t deal with him, he could destroy this town...

Did I mention I’m also his bodyguard?

It’s a simple task: get close enough to the enemy and kill him.

Thing is, nothing’s ever really simple with a dragon shifter, especially one as gorgeous and sexy as Chris.

I want to kill him so badly, but that’s not the only temptation...

When Ava Paige was six years old, she watched as dragons destroyed her town of Petrichor killing thousands including her parents. Although the popular belief was that it was gas leaks that set the town on fire, others like Ava knew the truth.

Now after years of trying to overcome what happened she is working for a security company where she first encountered billionaire, Christopher Mason. He was drunk and making a pass at her which she didn’t take well, now she has been hired to be his bodyguard.

When she is informed that her new town of Malves is rumored to have dragons she is sent on a mission to discover if Christopher is a dragon shifter and if he is to kill him. Petrichor Survivors Support Group founded by Parker is a decoy for a Hunter’s Guild who are determined to wipe out all magical creatures.

The only reason Ava accepted the mission was her hatred for dragons otherwise she wanted no part of the Guild. While guarding Christopher she begins to learn more about the Guild, Parker and Mason and some of it is very surprising.

This wasn’t a long story, but it was a story I couldn’t put down. The first book in what should be a wonderful series, I can’t wait. It has romance, sex, and a lesson about hating what you really don’t know, like judging a book by its cover.
