Welcome to Hunter Training
A golden opportunity…
When his father decides to send an operative into the ranks of trainees at the new Hunter training facility to recruit vampires for his private army, Rafe DeMarco jumps on the chance. It was the perfect opportunity to get away from the heartbreaking memories of the woman he loved – the woman who had abandoned him without a word, only to discover that she was one of the new trainees. Would he finally find out why she had left? And more importantly, could he somehow win her back?
A twist of fate…
Hunter training has always been limited to vampires, so when Nina Errani learns that it is now open to other supernaturals, she immediately signs up. To be one of the first witches to graduate from the program would be an honor, but the school also provides a welcome escape from Rafe DeMarco, the man she’d been forced to leave behind. So why was he here, screwing up a perfectly good plan? And how could she possibly avoid him, so he never learns the truth?

Hunter Training once open to vampires only is now opened to other supernaturals much to the delight of Nina Errani a witch who couldn’t wait to sign on the dotted line. Melanie Harper Nina’s best friend and roommate is joining her with the promise that there will be a lot of men for her to pick from. Not only is Nina anxious to join the Hunter Training but it is a chance for her to put distance between her and Rafe DeMarco the Born vampire she loves and left, a decision she had to make.

Rafe is the heir to the Born who runs the New Jersey territory, a vampire who lives up to the reputation of the Born, unloving, uncaring and better than everyone else and the total opposite of his son. Rafe’s father is a cruel man and Rafe has felt his whip on more than one occasion but now his father wants him to join the Hunter Training to recruit hunters for him and although Rafe is not happy about it it will at least get him away from the woman he loves, Nina. Heartbroken because he had no idea what he might have done to cause Nina to leave him and no number of texts or calls could get her to talk to him.

Well Nina and Rafe are in for a shock when they come face to face with each other at the Hunter Training facility. Nina wants to stay away from him fearing telling him why she left and he wanting nothing more than to know why. Well, the two of them didn’t count on Mel who has her sights on Rafe’s roommate, Logan. Mel is like a tornado and when she sees Logan, she comes in for a landing dragging poor Nina along with her even though Rafe is there. Logan is a shifter and doesn’t know how to handle all the attention Mel showers him with but there is no stopping her.

Mel is determined to bring Nina and Rafe back together and to keep it a secret her new project was to find a place where the two of them can be alone and talk and she knows the perfect broom closet for their rendezvous, there is no stopping Mel when she has an idea.

As Nina and Rafe undergo vigorous training, secrets are revealed and Nina’s life is in danger.

Not only Rafe is going to go the extra mile to keep Nina safe but the staff at the facility are right there as well. The staff of course we have met before in the Hired Hunters series and it was great to meet up with them again.

I couldn’t wait for the first book in this new series knowing that it was written by one of my favorite authors, Ms. Forrest and knowing that it was going to be wonderful like all her other series. Amazing characters, romance, sex, surprises, secrets and suspense. I absolutely loved Nina and Rafe but I loved Mel and Logan as well. Maybe they need a book to tell their story with Mel. It would be a hoot.
