Even a wolf shifter can’t defeat fate.
Vladimir Corelia is the second son of the pack alpha. He’s happy with his role in the pack, but it seems the fates have other ideas. When the man he finds living in a cave, caring for a shifter baby and a litter of wolf pups, turns out to be his mate, it begins a chain of events that puts the whole pack in jeopardy.
Frankie Bowers can’t remember anything except a powerful sense of danger. He only knows he can’t go home. With no way to defend himself, he has to rely on Vladimir, a perfect stranger who happens to be his mate, to protect him and the young he’s looking after.
While Vladimir and Frankie’s attraction as mates grows stronger every day, so does the threat to their relationship—and to the pack. As Frankie regains his memory, the threat grows more and more ominous. Vladimir and Frankie must rise to the challenge if they hope to have any chance at the future the fates might have in store.

Well, another wonderful paranormal book by one of my favorite authors and once again it doesn’t disappoint. Vladimir Corella is the second son of the alpha and is as opposite of his older brother Dimitri as you can get. Vlad by werewolf standards and especially being the son of the alpha is not powerful or strong but unlike Dimitri he is caring and wants only the best for the people he cares about which includes the entire pack while Dimitri seeks power and cares for nothing but himself.
Vlad always seems to disappoint his father because he likes to wander and visit with his friend Ruck a bear shifter which sometimes takes him off pack property and one of those times he finds a dying wolf shifter, four wolf cubs and an infant. The wolf he finds has been stabbed with a silver knife and time is of the essence if he has a chance of survival and Vlad is scared because he recognizes that this is no ordinary wolf shifter but is his mate. It was long believed that a gay wolf would never find a mate but that theory like so many others proved wrong.
While Vlad’s mate survives, he cannot shift out of his wolf form and as much as he tries, he is stuck as a wolf and can’t communicate with the man he too recognizes as his mate. Vlad and his mate stay close until an incident that endangers Vlad brings the shift. Frankie Bowers was protecting the four cubs whose mother was killed and the infant he had with him, an infant he has no idea about other than knowing he is not the father. Frankie’s memory is limited; he can’t recall why he was running, where he came from and who would have stabbed him. He is afraid of who he might actually be when his memory returns and would he be worthy of Vlad so they decide to wait before bonding. Too many questions and not enough answers.
Little by little Frankie’s memory returns but someone wants him back and is bringing trouble to the pack and he is still in the dark as to who and why. All questions are answered with quite a few surprises thrown in and the evil that is coming has a history with the alpha. I loved all the characters in this book, well the good guys, watching Frankie and Vlad’s love grow, learning about the baby and enjoying the antics of the four pups who have adopted Frankie and Vlad was what made me read this book in one sitting now my biggest problem is when I can expect another paranormal romance from Mr. Greyson, well hopefully soon.
