When Kron Ainsworth was six months old and his sister Kimber was four their parents, the alpha and omega were murdered. Fortunately, Max an alpha and his omega Max took in the two small kids from another pack, raising them, loving them and protecting them.

Now adults living in Easter Valley, a shifter community, are basically prisoners since leaving would be dangerous if their parent’s murderers were still looking for them. Kimber dreams of being a veterinarian but there is no college in Easter Valley to accommodate her dream, so she secretly applies to a college and that decision would change her and Kron’s lives.

Their old pack has been searching for the Ainsworth children and now they know exactly where they are by Kimber’s name appearing on a college application. Now their new alpha Callum is ready to meet Kimber and Kron and claim Kimber as his mate to ensure his role as alpha.

Callum never wanted to be an alpha but a bar fight and killing a man who turned out to be the pack’s alpha put him in that position whether he wanted it or not. With Kimber as his mate, he would not meet opposition. Kron’s father Max is overprotective and will do anything to ensure his children’s safety, so he is determined to keep them hidden from Callum when he arrives at their pack.

When Callum comes to meet Max and Christian, he immediate scents his life mate and now finding Kimber and making her his is utmost in his mind. The only problem is that Kron recognizes Callum as his mate but must keep it a secret and not allow Callum to scent him.

Running to his friend for help he tries one of his experiments and thinks his problem is solved but unfortunately, it will only create more problems. Not being with your life mate can cause serious problems and Kron is worried while his father Max is determined to keep Kron safe.

Max is such a wonderful character who acts without thinking. He will leave his mate Christian and run away with Kron something Christian will not allow and Kron doesn’t want. A wonderful story filled with wonderful characters, two life mates who must accept each other and a father who will stop at nothing to protect his son.
