Enter tech millionaire Zak Springer. He needs space and quiet away from New York City to think up the next big idea, and Philip’s upstate place is the perfect retreat. He wants to rent it for six months, price is no object, and oh yeah, Philip is welcome to stay. What can Philip do but agree?

Living with easygoing Zak proves interesting for Philip, a dedicated loner. Despite their different circumstances, Zak understands him in a way no one ever has, and the attraction that simmers between them is undeniable. With their days together numbered, Philip decides it’s safe to indulge in a fling—until he realizes he never wants this life in his dream house with his dream man to end. Philip Conyers is a photojournalist who has found himself broke due to circumstances out of his control. Now, his only option is to sell the home he purchased, loved and fixed up. His best friend Tom offers to lend him money, but Philip won’t accept so they prepare to help him sell the house.

The day the ad went up he got an offer, the house and all the furniture. That night the offer was removed. It would be a few weeks later when the man who had offered to buy the house and then declined it is now outside his door. Zak Springer makes another offer rent the house for six months while he comes up with a new app. Philip had no idea that Zak was a tech millionaire.

Discussing the offer over dinner with Tom and his wife Kelly, Tom immediately recognizes Zak as the winner of the Heisman Trophy and a professional football player. He also knows that he is a tech millionaire and now Kelly and Philip know who he is. Philip decides to accept the offer for six months with enough money to cover his mortgage and then some.

When Zak arrives at the house, he advises Philip that he can stay there, something Philip isn’t sure about but finally accepts. Zak even refuses to take the master bedroom and buys tons of food offering anything he bought for Philip’s use. Zak makes himself at home and doesn’t just sit around but offers Philip help when he is working in the backyard.

The two men become comfortable with each other and when Zak kisses Philip, the first man he ever kissed Philip is only too happy to join in. The two of them share the master bedroom and Philip knows that before long Zak will leave.

Life for Philip begins to look up but he still knows that time is running out. Zak is a wonderful man who shares his money without giving it a second thought. Anything he feels will enhance the house he is more than happy to buy knowing Philip is not able to do it for himself.

Philip begins to feel a need to return to what he does best, photographing something he had won a Pulitzer Prize for. It would take an email and an act of God to finally change Philip’s life.

A sweet story about finding love.
