That’s it, Zachary. Let me take control of your body.

Zachary
At no point in my wildest dreams had I ever imagined a ghost would be instrumental in my sex life. It certainly wasn’t my wildest dream to move into a fraternity even if I was sharing a room with my lifelong best friend.
I’d finally admitted it to myself – I was in love with Teo and had been for years. Maybe this semester I would finally be honest with my new brothers, my parents…and with Teo.

Mateo
I should’ve just told Zach the first time the ghost explored me. He was the one person I talked to about everything. But then came the thongs, lace panties, and jockstraps, and I got caught up exploring myself…with a little supernatural assistance.
It hadn’t surprised me that what I needed was right in front of my face the whole time. But would it be a surprise to Zach?

A charming twist on the closeted jock/gay nerd trope. Mateo Decker is indeed a jock—the star of his college’s soccer team. Zachary Cavallo is a nerd—at least from the point of view that his main focus is to get good grades. He’s also Teo Decker’s best friend since childhood, and it’s for that reason that he’s joined the Kappa Omega Kappa fraternity.

But, in another classic trope, Zach has been in love with Teo for years, and in fact has discreetly been building up his muscles to look more like—and thus be more worthy of—Teo’s attention.

The core secret keeping here is that Teo, now that Zach is his roommate, begins to realize that his feelings for his best friend might go way beyond their longtime friendship.

And that’s where the ghost comes in. Finn Dixon has provided a minimalist haunting, but he uses it strategically, and with a naughty sense of humor, to advance the plot in critical ways. I won’t say any more because it’s fun to discover it as you read.

This is also a very sex-forward book—and I’d guess that at least fifty percent of the narrative involves enthusiastic intimacy. These are, after all, horny college frat boys.

I gotta say, it made this old gay man who came out in college fifty years ago pretty envious. Maybe if I’d had a ghost?
