This is a hard review to write because it touches on a dark subject, incest. Although the subject matter is dark it was still an amazing read filled with love.
Alina and Alian are identical twins and their birth caused quite a stir since identical twins are never a boy and girl. Their bond with each other began in the womb and continued after their birth, a bond so strong no one and nothing could separate them. When scientists wanted to examine them and the newspapers kept trying to get pictures of them their parents took them to an island fortress, The Keep. There they were isolated from other children their age and when they began to wonder about sex, they found themselves drawn to each other. They began experimenting at a young age but when they turned eighteen everything changed.
Alian always felt hated by his father, a father who felt his son looked like a girl and was effeminate and who decided that he should be sent away to learn to be a man. During their time apart the twins were lost and could feel each other’s pain. Returning home Alian and Alina found it impossible to be apart and the love they had for each other was all consuming. They wondered how something that felt so good and that made them happy could be wrong, but the world was not ready to accept a sister and brother being sexual.
Being together was a constant challenge until they decided to run away and be together the way they wanted. Of course, money was a constant worry and before long they were discovered and brought home. Alain was sent to university where he met and roomed with Rory Beauregard Cooper III and that is a relationship, I won’t go into, but I will say it was mind blowing.
