Riordan Darcy has spent the last fourteen years building a name for himself as a notorious assassin. He travels the world taking the lives of some of the worst humanity has to offer, leaving his signature on every victim.
Riordan becomes unhappy and withdrawn from the world after a job goes horribly wrong and he makes the decision to get out of the life he was forced into, so long ago. When his meddling, older sister gives him a birthday gift that’s impossible to refuse, his plans to leave his life of crime take a backseat when he’s forced to protect the life of a veritable stranger.
When professional hugger and TLC provider, Teddy Harris, is offered a month-long companionship contract, he’s hard pressed to turn it down. Cuddler by day and a video game reviewer by night, Teddy’s need to make people feel loved and cared for is what drives him. When he meets Riordan Darcy, professional challenge and personal temptation collide, making it nearly impossible for him to endure a whole month with the gorgeous, enigmatic man without falling head over heels in love.
When a mole is discovered within Riordan’s organization, relationships are compromised, and people’s lives are in danger. Time isn’t on their side, and they discover answers can’t always be found by hugging it out when someone is hell-bent on eliminating each and every one of them. Can Riordan and Teddy survive long enough to fall in love, or will they die trying?

Riordan Darcy is an assassin whose trade mark is taking heads giving him the nickname “The Dullahan” his determination to remove the head of a person he killed would sometimes result in his sneaking into a morgue or even going as far as digging up a grave. His life as an assassin began when he had a fight at a bar protecting a woman and was saved by a man called Black who runs an organization of assassins. Riordan’s only stipulation to killing someone was they had to deserve it he would not take the life of an innocent but that changed when his last assassination resulted in the death of a woman and her ten year old child. His mark was a man named Vincent Abano but the whole thing was a set up because Abano lived and his family died.
Since the mother and boy’s death Riordan has not been himself, missing family dinners and locking himself away in his home. With his birthday coming up his sister got him a gift, a gift he could not refuse without upsetting her. He was going to have a month of TLC from a company called Teddy Bear Hugs and Companionship and in his mind it was a Pretty Woman moment, in reality it was nothing like that.
Teddy Harris owns Teddy Bear Hugs and Companionship a company that supplies companionship, cuddles and hugs for comfort and when he accepts the assignment for a month of TLC with Riordan Darcy it is with the full understanding the Riordan would agree and participate. Riordan is taken with this man who radiates happiness and calm but although he agrees to allow Teddy to live with him for a month hugs and cuddles are a definite no no.
Teddy had no way of knowing who and what Riordan was or how this job would put his life in danger. Someone in the organization is betraying everyone and removing anyone that stands in their way. When Teddy and Riordan show signs of caring for each other Teddy is the easiest way to get to Riordan. Who the traitor is, who lives or dies and whether Teddy and Riordan have a chance at a life together is for you to find out.
Although the book may seem unrealistic with a man who kills and removes heads and a man who hires himself out to give hugs and cuddles it was none the less interesting and unique. There was betrayal, sex, secrets and suspense and of course we do once again meet up with Snow and his husband Christopher who we met in book one. Although this series does not have to be read in order I would suggest doing so because each book is well worth your time and money.
