This short story is the prequel to a paranormal reverse harem series, and I have no doubt the series will be something I want to read.
Layla Leeland wants to spend her birthday alone since it is on Halloween. However, she doesn’t always get what she wants. Studying to be a nurse, she celebrates with her friends a day before her actual birthday. At the get together, one of her friends tells her to expect her present later. When a gorgeous man dressed only in red thongs shows up in her apartment, she is sure he is her gift.
Of course, it wouldn’t be nice to refuse a present sent to you, so she readily enjoys all the pleasures he grants her. He claims he is an incubus and is bound to her. His name is Ink, the name he agrees to give her so she can scream it out when he pleasures her and pleasure her he does, over and over again.
When she is convinced that he will go happily on his way to his next client, he once again advises her that he is for her only until such time as she releases him. There isn’t much I can talk about in this review since most of it was spent in the bedroom, living room, and library, but I will do my best. Layla will learn something about herself she never knew, she will begin to believe that there are definitely things that go bump in the night, and that she has had the best sex of her life.
This is just a small peek at what promises to be a very intriguing and sexy series.
