It has been two weeks since Sheridan was taken by a demon and is now in another dimension out of Torn’s reach and he is beside himself. He doesn’t eat, sleep or drink. His misery and Sheridan’s twin Shivaun has brought their relationship closer but it is a relationship born of fear and pain. Rosie has promised to get Sheridan back but getting his mate back is all Torn can think about.
One morning when Torn looks in the mirror he sees someone he doesn’t quite recognize, that someone is him. He is flawless, no scars and suddenly his lack of eating, sleeping and drinking becomes clear. He has changed and apparently so have the other fifteen hunters. The serum Monq invented using Deliverance’s blood has caused changes and if those changes have occurred to Sheridan as well there is a very good chance that she will be able to get free on her own.
Sheridan is being held by a Music Demon, Lyric and although she is treated well she is still being held against her will and feels just as lost as Torn without her mate. Fortunately she does begin to experience some changes and she is able to return to Dublin where she finds Torn waiting for her. She has no idea what has occurred since she has been gone and there is alot that Torn has to catch her up on.
Things at D.I.T. are about to change and in a big way and Rosie has to explain everything to her hunters some of whom may not be too happy with the changes. This book is the Black Swan series I love and although I was not totally in love with book two this one made up for it. I can’t wait to see what happens because there are hunters who have to learn how to live differently and someone who is going to betray the Order of the Black Swan.
