Àkos Kazsmer became trapped in Gehenna by the Unholy Hosts seventeen long years ago. His only hope is his son, the great stage magician Leopold Kazsmer, who hadn’t known Àkos was still alive. To save both his father's soul and his own, Leopold must make a daring journey to the LIBRARY OF THE DAMNED, a massive, centuries old archive that exists only in the hinterlands between the worlds. But the Unholy Hosts are ready to fight back, and the only thing standing between Gehenna and all-out war with London is Leopold and his most unusual friends: Special Inspector Mingli Zhao, the imp Suchah, the ghost of Inspector Thacker, the automaton Raj, and Leopold's personal daemon friend Eurynomos. All hell literally breaks loose in this final chapter of THE ENCHANTER CHRONICLES.

Library of the Damned is the action-packed conclusion to The Enchanter Chronicles series. Just when you think Leopold’s team is about to catch their breath, they find themselves tossed back into the action. Despite the threats looming over them, Leopold and Mingli manage to create tender personal moments during the brief pauses in the struggle to protect the world. The interactions between them are sweet and reflect the intensity of their growing relationship.
A few secrets and mysteries are revealed in the final volume of the series. Some of them revolve around Mingli’s history. Mingli’s bravery, determination, and talents are tested when hell break loose on London. While Mingli and Leopold are learning to balance out each other’s talents, the rest of the team Suchah, Thacker, Raj, and Eurynomos, work together to help the couple prepare for the epic battle against the vicious denizens of of Gehenna.
Once again this series is graced with lovely interior illustrations and a beautiful cover. The author does a wonderful job of creating dynamic visuals for a steampunk style Neo-Victorian London, and the illustrations accent the setting beautifully. The nicely constructed visuals and the exploration of Jewish mysticism reflect a well thought out and well researched story which utilizes characters that expand social norms.
This was an entertaining book that gives the reader a chance to explore an interesting perspective on London society. If you are looking for an action-packed steampunk adventure with a fascinating cast of characters, this is an excellent series to read. This book which is the final volume of the trilogy has a very satisfying conclusion that will leave hoping the author ventures back to this fantasy world again.
