Centuries ago, Elfinndor was invaded and to ensure some of the population survived arks were sent to an unoccupied planet and those left behind hid in an underground city. Tor JaKobi and a group of men fought the invaders but they were no match for them so defeated they surrendered and when the Elders a group of leaders from the invaders offered a treaty Tor agreed to it hoping to save the remaining humans. It will take three men, one a rogue and two who are part of the Elite Hunter Squad to finally learn the truth about the Zangnuit Elders and try to succeed where others failed to bring peace and return to Elfinndor and destroy the invaders once and for all.

Serving on the Elite Hunter Squad Corin JaKobi and his lover Marcus D’Ath, have a home and carryout assignments when called upon but it was Zeb Farell Corin’s ex-lover who would uncover the secrets the Elders kept hidden for centuries. Zeb went rogue and was banished but the Elder’s called on him to be part of Zangnuit’s Harvest Crew and what they were harvesting finally revealed what the Zangnuit’s really were and what they required from the humans. Zeb accepted the position while all the time planning to expose the lies and finding a way to destroy the enemy.

Centuries of living under the rule of the Zangnuit’s their population decreasing every year and barely enough food to live on it would finally take a monk’s secrets to reveal how to destroy the enemy, “thou shalt not kill” kept the monks from exposing how to kill the enemy but now it was time to break that vow and face the reality of all the people the enemy themselves killed.

Secrets that took centuries to uncover, a beautiful love story between Corin and Marcus, explicit sex and a fight for freedom made this book a good read.
