Jordan Wolf is the CEO of one of the largest accounting firms in New York and he is clueless about his personal assistant Brady Donovan who keeps his office life running like clock work.
Brady welcomes Jordan each morning with newspapers, his special coffee and his lunch. He also manages to remember when Jordan’s mom’s birthday is and sends gifts. It isn’t until one day when Brady gets a bad case of the flu and doesn’t show up for work that Jordan begins to realize how important Brady is to him.
No newspapers greet him, the coffee he asks someone to bring him comes from the office coffee pot and is definitely not to Jordan’s liking, in addition to the fact that when lunch rolls around there is none on his desk. His schedule is something he hasn’t had to think about since Brady entered his life and now that too has changed.
Realizing how much Brady has done for him and how much he has taken him for granted Jordan is determined to do everything in his power to ensure Brady never leaves so he visits him at home with food and medicine trying to give back what Brady has always given him. Days of visits brings the two men closer and Jordan gets to see a new Brady one he never bothered to see. He has no idea that Brady has loved him for a long time and even though the two men are growing closer and Jordan visits every day Brady knows there is no future for them.
An invitation to the Hamptons for an anniversary party for friends would change everything for Jordan and Brady. Jordan needs to bring a plus one to ensure he isn’t hounded by other men or women and the only one available is Brady. Brady is thrilled to see the Hamptons and thrilled to be spending a weekend with Jordan. Everyone at the party falls in love with Brady who is smart, funny, sassy and endearing, but does that include Jordan?
The party is the beginning for Jordan and Brady but the beginning of what? I will not reveal anything more about them but highly recommend this beautiful story.
