A new day has dawned in Candiopolis, the land of sweets, but not every witch has had her happily ever after. For Bianca the ice witch, life is lonely atop the Vanilla Mountains, so she did what any proper witch would do.

She made her own friends with her magic.

In the process, she broke every rule and the Council of Sorcerers has come knocking. Now, the only way for Bianca to save herself is to deal with her wayward minions, something she can’t do alone. Too bad the only person left to help her is her archnemesis, Percy, a handsome shifter with his own problems.

What starts out as a deal made between enemies might turn out to be something so much sweeter… if only the pair can survive raging milk rivers, a vicious vampire, and an army of shifters in heat.

Bianca Snow is an Ice Witch with a major problem, so she went to her best friend Tara for help. Biance received a letter from the Council of Sorcerers informing her that they know she has created creatures which are totally forbidden. She has five days to get rid of the forty-three creations with no idea how to do it. If she doesn’t succeed, she will have to pay a heavy fine which she will never be able to do, or they will take position of her creations to use in any way they want.

Although she has become attached to her ice and snow creations, she knows that she can’t keep them. With Tara’s help they come up with the idea of blowing them all up and making a bomb. The bomb requires pot ash, something neither Tara nor Bianca have enough of which means a trip to the outlands, a place filled with shifters.

When Bianca sees Percy, a shifter in beast form, being held prisoner she saves him with the promise of accompanying her to the outlands for protection. Bianca and Percy hate each other but they both need to accept working together. Percy can’t shift back to human form until he mates, or mating season is over which doubles their danger since the shifters in the outlands will also be going through heat.

Unfortunately, Percy is not welcome in the outlands and was thrown out of his pack, but he is better than nothing. When they aren’t calling each other names they must deal with a vampire who wants a favor from Bianca and then shifters coming after them with one thing on their minds when it comes to Biance.

Bianca has used up most of her magic while trying to save Percy when he nearly drowned so she will not be able to properly fight when they are attacked, and Percy is just one against many and can do just so much.

The only good thing that comes from the trip through the outlands is that Percy and Biance seem to be able to put their hatred aside but fighting a common enemy doesn’t ensure they will be able to keep that hatred from rearing its ugly head in the future.

This was a very interesting story and did make me laugh out loud at times. Bianca is a very independent witch who can’t control her mouth, which at times is hilarious. There is danger, cute creations that require killing and sex. This is an enemy to friends’ story, and I highly recommend it.
