Dear readers: Welcome to “Mystery on Spirit Mountain”, the second book in The MacKenzie Chronicles. If you loved Book One “Secrets of the Ravine”, you will really enjoy this working romance set in an historic setting.
You will reconnect with Phaedra Halloway and meet the new man in her life, Harlan MacKenzie (and handy man). Sprinkled throughout the book for added intrigue, are her friends and townsfolk. Nora Cook, a supposed writer tries to upset their daily routine and some old stories about John Hersey the house builder/owner come back to life.
A scary “newcomer” and their hopes of a family reunion of sorts, will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story has its’ share of twists and turns.
Set around some pretty fantastic old home, full of secrets, a newly crafted love story blossoms.
But trouble soon comes to town – and some of it, is walking on two feet. There are a lot of curious and unsettling “vibes” around town and they are not all coming from the house!
The questions are: Will old family secrets turn the future into just a dream or will Phaedra have her fairy tale future? Will a fixer-upper of an old house become the scene of something much more sinister – or will a school girl crush grow into true love?
This rollercoaster takes you on a ride filled with suspense, hard work, love and friendship.
This tale takes you on a beautiful walk down memory lane but you will question everyone’s decisions – and don’t forget to watch your back – you just never know who’s there!
