The release of any Amy Lane book is always a score for a reader. I have been a fan since Greenshill and knew that girl was gooood….With age she has gotten better than good and this newest is simply wonderful.
Ellery and Jackson have become a beacon of light to people who are championed by author Amy Lane……Too political a reviewer says? This is where the rubber meets the road in Amy Lane world and I love her for this.
This author has taken it upon herself to write and use her stories to make her feelings known. Ms Lane has gathered a group of characters from many of her books, from the many series’ she has written, and has used them to make a mark in our world! This is very exciting!
The story is set in Sacramento and the plight of the homeless, with a dirty DA , dirty cops, just like today’s news. Ellery and Jackson find themselves in a tremendous two plot epic storyline….Quite a page turner and so wonderfully written…Pain, fear, sadness and humor galore.
The growth of Jackson is so wonderful to feel, cause you feel he has changed in your own melting heart. He has his moments of making Ellery crazy but he wants to do better and be better and even loves Lucy Satan…
Ms. Lane this was the best yet….10 stars if I could…..So immensely enjoyed
