Being rescued by a hot lumberjack after catching his fiancé cheating was the only good thing to happen to Beau for quite some time.
Getting stuck in the man’s cabin for the weekend? There were definitely worse ways to pass a few days.
Falling for him when the guy made it clear he didn’t do relationships? Well, Beau just wouldn’t do that… probably.
Out in the Cold is a 25k word novella with a 39-year-old furniture maker who is done with disappointing relationships, a 25-year-old accountant with terrible taste in fiancés, a remote cabin in the woods during a snowstorm, and a rescue dog with more sense than his owner.

This is a novella and prequel for the new series Blue Collar Hearts. This is also a sample of what awaits, hot hot men and hot sex.
Beau Singer is looking forward to his marriage to his fiancé Danny, but everything changes when he arrives home early only to find Danny and his assistant having sex. Beau gives Danny the weekend to move out and won’t accept his apology. Not only did Danny bring about the end of his engagement but since Danny and his assistant both work for Beau’s father they will no longer have jobs.
Beau decides to escape everything by heading to his father’s cabin despite his father’s insistence that a snowstorm is coming and trying to persuade him to stay closer to home. At twenty-five Beau feels he knows what is best and rejects his father’s idea. Beau finds that his father was right when he finds himself in the middle of a blizzard with visibility near zero. No hotels are in the area, no place to find refuge until he sees lights and pulls up to someone’s driveway.
Cooper (Coop) Frances escapes to his cabin to get away from people, just him and his dog so when Beau knocks on the door asking for help, he is not a happy camper. After one too many broken relationships, cheating, and stealing his new philosophy is no relationships just a one and done and Beau threatens that. The blizzard will keep the two men housebound.
Beau is attracted to Coop and despite his determination to keep Beau at a distance he can’t help but reciprocate his attraction. Beau always felt that being with Danny was the best he could do even though the sex was mediocre at best. Beau has very little confidence but is Coop the man that can change all that.
This novella, although short, was an introduction to the new series which I look forward to. Wonderful characters and hot sex and an adorable dog who falls in love with Beau which makes Coop wonder if the dog is smarter than him when it comes to Beau.
